I would not repeat this experience/meal except good beignets.

It’s a nice take on some of the best different lil places down south…. Gives you a good feel for a true classic southern dish…Or several!! Serving HOTT & FRESH Beignets all day!!! You and your family should def check it out!!!

Well we must have either came on off day or this place has gone down hill as it did not match the reviews. The restaurant had a unique atmosphere when we first pulled up, but do any looking around and you'll be left feeling like this place has not been deep cleaned, ever.

Pros: Good boudin balls, fried kids meals were good with large portion, potato salad was very good.

Dislikes: Their chicken and sausage gumbo was hardly any roux and meat, mostly just rice served lukewarm. For the price small serving. The jambalaya was mostly just spice and no flavor also a small serving. The pepper jack mac & cheese was just penne pasta with melted shredded cheese on top, not worth seven dollars! They hold your food until it is all ready on the counter, with no heat source. We were a party of 8 so I collected the food before it was all ready (I watched them swat flies away from our food and I didn't want it to be cold) and was met with attitude because I was supposed to wait, which I did not know because no one explained the process to me. The kids burger is on a big puffy poboy bun, no kids would be able to eat that, plus it was massively overcooked. They did sub it out for something else no questions asked though.
*Customer service: the guy who took our order was fine, but for the price I would expect at least SOME customer service. You place your order at the front and pay, then you get your food yourself. They don't get you refills, check on you, or help you carry food to the table (once again, 8 people). They only brought the sub of the kids meal to our table.
Overall for the price, cleanliness, and customer service we'll never comeback it's getting harder to find good cajun food up here in north LA.

Stopped in at MP for our road trip to NOLA/Taylor Swift concert! We went there for breakfast and ordered beignets & coffee! The staff there were absolutely nice! The beignets were spot on! Very cute place! I highly recommend it if you are in the area or visiting!

Absolutely amazing! The food was incredible. The service was more than friendly. And the cocktails were well poured and delicious. We had a local friend recommend brunch and it over delivered. Will definitely become a regular stop while we are in town.

The beignets are divine. We also tried the special while we were here
.....THIS....IS...THE....BEST FOOD. The owner came and introduced himself and all the staff are extremely respectful and polite. We live 1.5 hours away but this is going to be a monthly trip for us. -

What a memorable and incredible experience!
Robert, the boss, introduced us to the history of his restaurant and his own story; while listening attentively to ours. All while savoring the delicious dishes from the kitchen and chosen for us by our host.
Everything was perfect, from the gumbo to the fish mille-feuille... and those fritters!!! Better than anywhere else!
Robert's kindness is matched only by that of his waiters and cooks, all of whom take great care. We won't soon forget this dinner!

Really relaxed atmosphere. Sat outside on picnic table. Had an Italian style salad without dressing, topped with fried shrimp tossed in Remoulade sauce. Delicious. Thanks for the recommendation Elise!
