I purchased a king cake about 3 years back and I did not like. However I purchased 1 yesterday. Which was a cream cheese mini king cake. When I tell you it's been the best 1 I have had in a long time! I am not sure what changed but I'm loving it! Keep this recipe ?. I forgot to take a picture before cutting into it ?
Some things are just GREAT. Love the jalapeno cheddar sliced loaf. Once a week it is YUMMY. For weekend treat some times bacon scone, sausage crossiant (or any crossiant) or cinnamon rolls....or blueberry Danish or cookies!!! Where to stop... I am a BIG fan!!!! And love Doc's too!!!

Service is excellent, their almond croissants are terrific. Unfortunately their traditional king cake is blah- good “cake” NO cinnamon and very over priced-shame. Lawrence’s bakery in New Orleaans was the king of king cakes in the day and Lowders doesn’t come close. Jim C.
