Came for lunch, I ordered the Carne Asada with black beans and rice and the black beans were cold. My wife ordered Shrimp Skewers and the Shrimp were butterflied backwards so they were not de-veined, her skewer veggies were ok but the grilled veggies were swimming in butter. I expect better quality for $26 Entrees.

This is one of the outings I take my 88 year old dad on. He loves oysters and hadn't had them in many years. We drive from Carthage TX 45 minutes to get there. Almost always no wait. Waitstaff is always excellent for us. Food arrives quickly. Love to read the signs on the walls, they are entertaining. Looking through the reviews, it appears they may have some off days occasionally, as we all do, but we have always had a great experience. The oysters are always great too and we have never gotten ill from eating there. We will be back tomorrow night in fact!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We drove two hours to eat here, we have eaten here in the past and had good experiences. This time… not so much!

The hostess sat us immediately but was on her phone.

The chargrilled oysters were cold, tasteless and sitting on wilted brown lettuce in melted ice. They were shucked like someone used a lawn mower, bits of shell throughout every bite and swallow.

The parm garlic shrimp looked like they gave up halfway through cooking. No seasoning, no effort, just shrimp floating in butter and melted parm cheese on top. The Caesar salad? It tasted like someone dumped tartar sauce on it.

My son ate the food because we had been on the road a while and he was starving, but he paid the price with a case of what he calls Bayou Belly.

The service was the cherry on this melting sundae of disaster. Our waitress asked if we wanted a half dozen or dozen of shrimp. Highly suspected she’d either been drinking or battling a serious case of confusion, she struggled to get through sentences and questions. After we ordered and finally got our food, the waitress disappeared faster than my appetite. No refills, no check in, nothing. We waited what seemed like forever to try to check out. I actually went back to the vehicle and got cash to guess how much it was and leave it on the table to just walk out. While I was gone, my son waved her down. I got back and gave her a $100 bill. She couldn’t work the system to figure out our change stating it was a new system, finally after struggling to count and make change, she returned. I told her how bad everything was. I was pretty frustrated at this point but Instead of apologizing, she caught an attitude like I ruined her night. Ma’am, I’m the one who paid for cold, tasteless, undercooked food.
You can either have bad food or bad service… not both! It has to be real bad to not get a tip from our bunch, we are pretty generous tippers.

The vibe was nice and the beer were cold and dressed , thankful the bartender refilled us once otherwise we did not get any refills.

Too many wonderful restaurants in Shreveport/ Bossier to waste money here again.

The absolute worst service I have ever received and I have pretty low standards lol. Drove 2 hours for this place just to have to stop at Chick Fil A 5 mins after leaving. Server was too worried about the guy at the bar than her table. Zero refills and the server never came back to the table to see how the food was. Once we waved her down after 20 mins of sitting with empty drinks and ready to leave, she finally brought our change and when we told her how terrible our experience was, she caught an attitude. Had she came back to the table even just once after food was delivered, maybe, just maybe, I’d give her 2 stars. A bad server can’t save a good meal, but a good server can save a bad meal. Worst experience and I had extremely high expectations of this place being we drove 2 hours.
