Always a great meal here! Staff is above and beyond friendly and accommodating. Great food and drink specials, but the regular menu is always solid as well. Caesar salad was fresh with just the right dressing and the bread was hot and crispy. My sugar cookie white Russian was the perfect ending to the meal. They might be a little off the beaten track for some folks, but it's worth it for wonderful food and excellent service!

Went looking for Italian as part of my pre thanksgiving behavior and found this gem. Everything was spot on from the red gravy on the chicken parm to the tender veal, all takeout. Value,price, taste - it’s a great choice. Can’t wait to dine in.

Assunta’s Italian earned an A+ in every dining category. The food was expertly cooked Italian with fresh, quality ingredients. The veal was tender and the capers were plentiful. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and cooperative in assisting each other with their tables. The owner, when not in the kitchen, was visible and genuinely interactive with the guests. The wine list is solid and the pricing is fair for restaurant wine prices. The tables are well spaced, the acoustics are good, and the decor is rustic and comfortable. We will definitely be returning to Assunta’s Italian.

We have been eating here for 20 years. The food has always been freshly prepared and served hot. The osso buco is fantastic. The meat falls the bone. The tomato sauce is not sweet, slightly tangy, rich and full of flavor. A great meal.
