This place is delicious! Can't make it into New Orleans for Cafe Du Monde, don't worry. The regular beignets delicious. The glazed beignets delicious. Don't sleep on their breakfast and lunch either. You won't be dissapointed.

The food was just ok. We've had much better Beignets and the cafe au lait was just so so. It was not at all hot. Would not recommend.

We went to this place to try beignet for the first time. Upon arriving, the waitress greeted us, and the lady was in back said nothing. We asked was it a black owned business because we were excited to show our support. The responded was “idk”. We sat down and asked a few questions, the waitress asked the owner, and her responds was NO to every thing. I wanted to try lemon glaze and powder… and I had no issue paying for it… the owner finally comes from the back and ask” what is it yall want” no hello or greeting. I asked about lemon glaze and was told I can have a “small taste” but not a full size. The waitress was even flustered by the owners behavior. She was rude, unaccomidating, unwelcoming, and overall nasty. Based on her responses here….it tracks. We ended up going to Nola Seafood and Sweets, and the beignets and service were amazing, go there instead!

This lady was so rude we didn’t even feel comfortable ordering and from her responses to her google reviews it seems like we aren’t the only ones who thought she had a nasty attitude. The owner was very dismissive. With being a business owner myself I couldn’t imagine handling my customers the way she handled us.

Ive had better beignets but they were still okay but the owners attitude is horrible. We ordered ahead we were 5 minutes away so we wanted to give her time to get them started but to our surprise they were already done and bagged up when we got there on a table near the register. As we walked in the owner was behind the room divider and was silent for a good minute or two until we finally said hello and then she rudely said hello and then emerged from behind the divider and then she started moving stuff around and took her time getting to the cash register and then she finally said those are yours and pointed at them and then she told us the price. We should have walked out without paying or getting the beignets but we still paid and again the beignets could've been better all in all we will never be back and unfortunately her attitude will probably never change by looking at the previous reviews she's been this way and I'm surprised she is still in business based off attitude alone.

Update Response: Based off of your response you are focused on my last sentence out of my entire review. It doesn't negate the fact that you were rude to us! And again I stated that I've had better not they've had better. To let it be known the ONLY reason we stopped by is because the place we get them from ran out!! This also goes to show your attitude again is horrible I wouldn't have left any review at all had your attitude been better. This is not how you act and treat customers who put money in YOUR pockets.

We tried a few different places with Beignets and hands down this was the best ones I had during my trip. They were absolutely mouthwatering. I will dream about them till I make it back to Slidell Louisiana. They were hit, fresh, savory, sweet and just perfect.

Food was overpriced for what it was. Bacon was microwaved bacon, biscuit was similar to a fry hotel biscuit, eggs were powdered, and wasn’t allowed to add cheese to my grits. All food seemed instant and/or microwaved. Found a hair in my food. Tea tasted really old. Beignet was ok. Couldn’t even get a side of gravy or extra side of sausage. When I heard our server ask a person in the kitchen the person in the kitchen seemed to be very unfriendly to her. Amy our server was a very nice lady which is the only good thing I can say about the service. I didn’t have to pay due to the hair in my food, but my friend didn’t eat 1/2 her food and still had to pay. One of the ladies in the kitchen kept coming out and staring at us making me very uncomfortable. Only gets 2 starts because of Amy. We walked over to La Pines Cafe and had a good experience.

Myself and 2 colleagues walked in for breakfast the waiter Amy was very nice and patient but the rest of the staff was not so friendly I ordered the 2 eggs scrambled with cheese and bacon and grits with a biscuit and the bacon was microwaved bacon out the box the eggs were nasty and didn’t come with cheese so I was brought a piece of cheese to put in some fairly warm eggs my colleague had a piece of hair in his food the cook had a attitude about things we asked for the entire visit was horrible we went next door to LA Pines and were more than satisfied which made everything better but we will not be returning to that establishment ever again in life

Food isn’t good and the woman that runs it (the owner I think) is incredibly rude. They never seem to have business, but if you were wondering about stopping in,save yourself the money and hassle and go somewhere else.

Disappointing Experience - Owner's Behavior Towards Staff Unacceptable*

I visited this establishment on 10/27/2024, drawn in by the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the owner's appalling treatment of her staff.

While I waited for my order, I witnessed the owner verbally abusing her employees - young girls who appeared to be students or recent high school graduates. The owner's language was degrading, and her tone was demeaning. It was clear that the staff were on the verge of tears.

The owner's behavior was not only unprofessional but also inhumane. It's unacceptable to treat anyone, let alone employees, with such disrespect. The owner's attitude is a stark reflection of her character - low-class and unappreciative.

I collected my order and left, refusing to support a business that treats its staff so poorly. The owner's beignets may taste sweet, but her behavior leaves a bitter taste.

To the owner: You're nothing without your hardworking staff, who deserve better than to be treated like dirt. Your behavior will ultimately be your downfall.

Zero stars from me.
