I'll just keep it short - the Redfish and Grits entree and the Banana Fosters Bread Pudding are 2 of the top ten dishes I have dined out on in likely three years. Great little restaurant.

We ordered shrimp and grits, the flavor was great. But the shrimp WAS NOT deveined. And the fried green tomatoes needed more seasoning. Our service was great though.

Food was great, but we were made aware that there was a large party in the back this day, like ok front of the restaurant maybe had 10 guest, so should still be able to handle it. Took arpund 8 minutes before we were even acknowledged for a drink order. Started with two bowls of gumbo, which had almost inedible hard rice in it throughout, then ordered a greek salad and a grilled chicken sandwich with pepper jack. Salad arrived as ordered, the sandwich was missing the cheese which mind you is extra. Then halfway through the meal me and my wife ran out of drink, we were told they were bringing us more drinks, which by the way we are still waiting on. Overall we won't be back. Word of advice if you have a large party and can't handle the front, just shut the place down for that day.

My Bacon Avocado Burger was cooked perfectly. Nice thick-cut bacon. I substituted the onion rings for fries. If you like onion rings, go for it! They're great.

I just want to say, for a secluded town this restaurant knows what they're doing. I had the grilled red fish and it was one of the best dishes I've had in a while. The rice had so much flavor, the shrimp was seasoned so well, the grits were delicious and the fish was amazing. I'm so glad I stopped here. The town is very charming and the restaurant is beautiful.

Was seated immediately but took 50 minutes for the first plate to come out. We were a group of 5 and the meals came out at different times. Most left still hungry as the portions were very small. Food was very bland and over priced.
We dined here last night for my daughter’s birthday. It was beyond horrible. No one liked their food (and there were 8 of us). Service was atrocious. Waiter unprofessional, condescending, and rude. My food didn’t come out with everyone else’s but I didn’t think much of it. Just thought they were still working on it. Well our waiter didn’t come back around until most were finishing their meals and that’s when I asked about my food. His reaction was to blame me. He said “why didn’t you say something sooner”. Then he brings me some spinach dip and chips which we already had on the table that we didn’t eat because it was gross. I guess this was supposed to be my snack since I had to wait another 20 minutes to get my food and it was not at all what I ordered. I ended up just taking it to go. Then the waiter brings the check and we are beyond ready to go at this point. Card was placed on top and we waited and waited for him to come back. I get it you’re busy but he was cleaning up and changing tablecloths of tables they didn’t need at the time instead of prioritizing getting us closed out. My dad ended up bringing it to the bar and paying it there so we could go. Before we left, the waiter had the audacity to ask how was the service and everything. Well, my mom just said it could have been better and left it at that. He was very unprofessional after hearing her answer. Side note, who piles powder sugar on top of bread pudding?! Awful!

My wife and I have been coming to bistreaux on a regular basis for a little over a year now….you can’t beat the food or the deserts. I don’t think either one of us has tried something that didn’t taste amazing. We have never had any issues with anything and the staff is super friendly. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a nice cozy spot for dining. We will continue to recommend bistreaux to everyone we know

Today's service was the worst service I have ever had here. My friend and I were treated disrespectfully. Our dining experience started off with us asking Michele if we could get another cup of coffee which was lukewarm, which happens, so we understood that. However our server never returned with coffee. She passed by our table several times without speaking to us or bringing the coffee. I ended up going to the bar to ask for the coffee, which was brought out by another server. Secondly our food arrived missing items. I waved down our waitress who said they were coming. 20 minutes later, I received the rest of my meal. We again asked her for salt, pepper, and ketchup. She never returned with those items I had to go to the bar and ask once again for thise items. Then another waitress came directly to our table and took our salt and pepper off our table!!! I have NEVER had this happen. Who does that???? This was absolutely piss poor service!

It was a super busy night due to Cary St. crawl but I waited over 30 minutes for a drink , The witches Brew was a good cocktail but I ended up canceling my food order when the waitress came back three times due to running out of everything I asked for. The atmosphere was very nice though we were outside on the patio. I will try again on a normal day.
