I've tried the place three times. I wanted to be sure it was the food and not me. The conclusion is that the food is bland and I won't be back. I really wanted to like the place. The pickles are great!

My first time inside Chicken Salad Chick today for lunch. I have to say I was very impressed! I had an original sandwich and it was very good. There were lots of choices on what kind of salads, different types of bread, even croissants! That's right up my alley, but you don't have to have bread. I just wanted to see what their classic meal was about. It could have had a little more chicken salad on the sandwich but for $8.99 I was happy. You get a side also. They have several to choose from. They have a soup of the day you can get too, which is what I got. Broccoli cheddar , and it was good. They give you plenty of crackers too . I'm always happy when I get a big pickle on the side, lolThe place was clean and the customer service lady was very nice. I told her I was new and not sure what to get. She was kind and helpful. They gave me a little number for my table and I could go sit. They brought the food to me, and that's a plus to me.I did get a drink. I got a regular one, not a large. It was $2.19. But I will say that for $2.19, it was pretty large, but that's optional.So for $8.99+tax I got a chicken salad sandwich, soup, crackers, and even a cute little cookie.I went with my sister to the other chain place (that starts with Pan. ) a couple months ago and I paid for both. I got the same thing I bought here except Pan. gives you bread with your soup, not crackers. My bill was way over $40, nearly $50, but we did get a huge cinnamon roll, and 2 drinks.SOO, when I want chicken salad and soup again, it will be here. It's almost half the price.Has anyone been to McD. lately? I spent that much there and it was a burger and fries. Gone are the days of eating out for cheap. Im glad I came and can't wait to come back with my sister!

I visited this place twice, the first time I enjoyed the food but the guy who was taking my order kept looking at me awkwardly. The second time was just yesterday I opted for the drive-thru, and everyone was friendly and apologetic because of a mishap with the order. The food was good but all my crackers were smashed. That's the only reason for the 4 stars.
This is a great little place. Very clean and squared away. The staff are friendly to a fault. Very cheerful and willing to help. I have gotten take-out from the drive-thru or with inside pickup and the process works well. They have a multitude of different chicken salads as you can tell. I went one time and was hooked. Had to keep going back until I tried them all. They routinely have seasonal flavors so there is usually something new to try. The sides are very fresh and light and compliment the chicken salad flavors very well. The egg salad and pimento cheese are decent, but not as much fun as the chicken salad varieties.Getting in/out of the parking can be a little confusing, depending on which way you are traveling on Gause Blvd. There is a traffic signal that helps.

I chose to go to Slidell instead of my favorite location in Mandeville. The workers were nice. I prefer the Mandeville location due to a Superb experience.
