Very good experience at this location, my only thing is chicken should definitely be a option when making a omelette not a 6.99 up charge… but it was good, I wish they offered chicken sausage like Cracker Barrel but can’t have it all. I did like the new updated menu very simple to choose from!

I was ordering to take out and after I pay she gave me receipt and she said you can give me the tip right here and I didn’t and she asked no tip and I’m like no sorry and see look at me mad and she left like really the tip is necessary you didn’t even cook and how would I pay your tip before you even? The smothered turkey was nothing but turkey lunch meat, thin and dry. Jarred gravy. Chicken parm was bland. $45 was way too much for low quality. Waitress Kelly was unfriendly.

Okay I must be honest it's been a few minutes since I've stopped at a truck to stop and eat ,but tonight Justified it because we had a late night business thing in Slidell ,where we met the other party there was a Country Pride restaurant in the TA truck stop my wife suggested we go ahead and eat something I got to try there fried steak with mashed potatoes and beans AMAZING! and my wife got white fish, broccoli and broccoli cheese soup that white fish was beyond spectacular rivaled any white fish I've had at the nicest restaurants on the coast and when they told me that there's an outside chance that they can close the restaurant I was truly saddened because this place deserves a lot of local business so if you're anywhere in the area and you're looking for some good home cooking they have one excellent cook there at night time and a really nice waitress who made us feel very much at home! We will try to come back again, and hopefully, it'll be thriving. God bless the Country Pride restaurant at the TA truck stop in Slidell on Gause Street

The steak was cooked perfectly! The service was outstanding ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Renee did a great job! I had a good time. DRIVERS get in there and support this place! The prices are reasonable. You'll be glad you did 🙂

I love eating at any country pride but this one. The lady had this un welcoming attitude. We asked what she had to drink and she said Pepsi drinks😮💨 so we ordered Pepsi then there's none..we order food & my plate is broken. The portions were a joke & everything look & tasted like it was watered down chicken very dry like it was there for a while. As we're eating the lady not once asks if we need more drinks refills just brings our check like we're done which we were not. My husband had to go to her to get cake we wanted. She brought it like she just pild them & when I asked for a small extra plate to separate them she walked 3 feet sighed really loud & got upset 😡 like she was mad I was making her work!

The first time here, I was pretty impressed. The restraunt was super clean. The server greeted and sat us immediately. She was super helpful with questions, polite, and had a great personality. I ordered a French toast breakfast and biscuits and gravy. The food was all very good. In my opinion, one of the best restraunt biscuits and gravy that I've ever had. The price of the food was reasonable and not super inflated like everything else seems to be now days.

Best restaurant I’ve been to in a while and even better it’s at a truck stop! We didn’t think it was open (Google showed 8pm), planned to walk down the street and noticed they were still open until 10pm. Some of the best homemade meals we’ve had on the road (truckers). The salad, red beans and rice, smothered and non smothered steer burgers, hash browns and eggs were all amazing. Definitely stop here and check it out! Can’t forget our waitress was very attentive, kind, and helpful!
I ordered chicken fried steak with brown gravy, salad, and fried. Gravy was as thick as wall paper paste, fries too salty to eat, and the salad had obviously been sitting uncovered in a cooler to dry out. The entree was far from homemade, and I didn't find the prices to be very reasonable. The place was clean and the service was friendly which is the only reason I gave it 2 stars. I don't recommend it, at all.
