Dickey's Barbecue Pit

So I’m editing my last one star review to a 5 star review. I’ve had Dickey’s barbecue several times since the last review and I must say, I’m impressed. Great food, great service! Kuddo’s to you Dickey’s. What a comeback. I highly recommend eating here!

I would rate the service as poor. The brisket sandwich was good but their fries tasted freezer burnt or maybe just old and dry.

food was great when I was getting ready to leave a tip I was informed that the employer does not give his employees the tips he keeps it for himself that is very disturbing

Place is just dirty!!! Make it inviting and clean like it was when it opened. Has gone SO downhill and looks terrible in the inside. One girl working that I witnessed while eating and having to do it all- take orders, prepare the orders, checkout. She was doing her best for sure and very nice. Do better Dicky’s!!!

My wife and I will never eat here again! The brisket was so tough I had to cut it with a knife, the pulled pork was so dry I had to drown it in bar-b-que sauce and the jalapeño/cheddar sausage tasted like it was 2-3 days old. The place looked like a ghost town and now I know why. We had to go back to the counter and ask for onions and pickles (other Dickey’s include these without asking), their condiments tray was empty with the exception of a few packets of sugar, their ice cream machine was out of service and the employees working there were not the least bit hospitable. Next time we have a desire for bar-b-que we will drive to Buc-ees.

If I could give a zero stars I would.. First off this is the only Dickeys I’ve been to that was nasty.. I love dickeys in general. This one is absolutely garbage! I spent 80 on nasty food. My husband and I both got the brisket plate, the brisket was 0/10, it was cold and tough. I got fries and baked beans, the fries were horrible (who could screw up a fry, right?) they were heated in a microwave not cooked in a fryer I’m assuming. They were 0/10 baked beans were cold, 3/10. Husband got coleslaw and potato salad, he said both was so so 3/10. My boys got boneless chicken they both said it was a 15.00 McDonald nugget… 2/10. And one got fries (see above for that review) and the other got the nasty Mac and cheese.. I don’t know who owns/runs this place but it needs to be shut down before someone gets really ill. We all were sick from eating the little bit we did. But what pisses me off the most is we spent 80.00 on this garbage!!! Employee (a dude that looked like he had been up a few days) was not helpful, no refund.. no apologies… basically just wasted that $80. We ended up going to Texas Roadhouse and it was 10/10. Should have done that in the first place.

First time ordering from here. Friday lunchtime. Ordered take out from their website for 2 people. Nothing fancy. Ordered two 2 meat plates that come with 2 sides, a slice of Texas toast, and a sauce. I wanted chopped brisket, that was too difficult, they gave me sliced. Coworker wanted ranch sauce, that was too difficult, they gave him bbq. Texas toast? Try a cold piece of bread, untoasted. Ordered a slice of pecan pie for dessert and a drink. Those were also too difficult as they were out of pecan pie and didn’t give me my drink. I had to go back in twice. Once for the drink, once for the nonexistent pecan pie. The food was mediocre at best. The sad part is that I was literally the only person in the place. I will never order from here again.

Spoiled mashed potatoes cold food. Stail bread. Spoiled sweet tea, the place was empty. And that explains why. Overall everything was bad.

This was not my first time going, but it will definitely be my last. The service is always poor. On this visit we walked in and stood at the order spot for several minutes. While there was an employee right there they never acknowledged. We tried to say something and were completely ignored. Then went to the register where there were other employees around and again were ignored. Someone finally walked up, but didnt say anything so we just left.

Ordered dinner on doordash they didn't put half the food in the order we ordered a salad without cheese because my wife is lactose intolerant and they loaded it with cheese. I got a 3 meat plate with chips and Mac and cheese had no chips they have me a 2 oz sauce cup of Mac and cheese. I paid for 3 sides of pickles I got 2 orders with about 5 pickles in each cup didn't get the 3rd. Pictured is a 1oz cup with bbq sauce next to it is the pathetic 2oz portion of Mac and cheese.

We decided to order BBQ for a Graduation party Saturday but after pulling up this location and seeing 3 stars and negative reviews, I hesitated but did end up placing the order in really high hopes that my experience would go okay. I placed the order the night before, and Carrie actually tried calling me the next morning to let me know they didn’t have enough of one of the items. I missed the call because I was running around getting things ready, so I didn’t find out until I showed up at the scheduled pickup time. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and Carrie explained the situation and went through some alt. options. Long story short, it ended up working out PERFECTLY. Carrie was super sweet, very accommodating, and everything was handled in a timely manner. I was truly thankful for her! && also, the food was AMAZING!! Everyone loved it.

My friend ordered from this awful place and when she went to pick up her order she was not even greeted but told that her order was “one of those there”. After picking up her order, she noticed that it was completely wrong. She called and explained the situation and was promised a refund that would hit her account in 2-3 days. The lady she spoke with was suppose to send a text message to her confirming this. A few hours passed with no confirmation and she calls again only to be told by the same lady that there would no refund. Because the manager denied it. IF she even spoke with the manager. The lady gave no reason as to why the refund was denied and even said “I didn’t know I was suppose to call you back to let you know”. Overall, terrible place, horrible customer service, and never going there again. And I’ll make sure to spread the word.
