Nice restaurant on front street. Food was delicious and staff were attentive. Didn’t give 5 stars due to the cost. Way more expensive than we were anticipating for a family of six.

this place is good, not great. the steaks are nothing special.not a good value at all, will not be back.it also took over an hour to get our food. fortunately, most of our group wasn't in a hurry, but we did all feel that was excessive for this price point.bright spot- the service was excellent, our waitress was very pleasant and answered all our questions, A+ service.

Went for a financial meeting. After presentation was served a pre selected meal. Because of the number of attendees the staff were rushed to serve us because the restaurant was now open for regular customers. Maybe would have enjoyed it better if my first time there would have been a regular customer.

The food was divine! There were so many delicious options on the menu, that we went small plate ordering and tried ten different menu items plus dessert and after dinner drinks. Everything- and I mean EVERYTHING was delicious. It's a venue that specializes in steaks and we didn't even order that so for sure we will be back to try more ! Thanks Pat Gallagher for a great dining experience. We even bought a bottle of the chefs wine specialty because my husband loved it so much. We've been trying to go there for a year. We live out of state but visit Slidell twice monthly. So grateful we finally got In!

One of the best steaks I have had! This venue has a great spacious interior. The staff were super friendly and keenly attentive.Of course, the place was also spotlessly clean. The sides were amazing.I had collard greens for the first time. The spinach with cream was epic.As was the sweet potatoes. My friend says it was the best lamb he had eaten. This has a great family feel too.Highly rated this venue and worth a visit.Vegetarian options: Available on the menuWheelchair accessibility: Ramp up

We went here on a Friday night and it was a really nice calm atmosphere, not very busy but everyone was enjoying their food.We actually requested that they split a dish and they did so in the kitchen for us so we got our own plates! It was really nice of them.

Noisy. Waitress was nice. Service appeared to be rushed. Everyone in a hurry. No one explained any of the specials. My husbands andouille and chicken gumbo had a brunt taste with flecks of burned roux in it. Our friends seafood gumbo was much too salty. They both sent it back. Overall the food was mediocre for the price. The bread pudding was good but very sweet. The main seasoning ingredient was “a lot of salt”. Noisy atmosphere. This was on a Thursday night. The restaurant was very busy.

We were staying in NOLA and decided to drive outside of the French Quarter for dinner. We drove a little over 30 minutes to Gallagher's and would absolutely make that drive again. The food was delicious and service was great as well!

My husband and I had an early Valentine’s dinner tonight. The food was fantastic. Gallagher’s has the best crab cakes. Beth was a wonderful waitress. She anticipated all of our wants and needs. I certainly hope we get her again on our next visit.

It can be a bit pricey, but as far as food and service goes, I've never had a bad experience here. All servers are kind and knowledgeable. There isn't many bad choices with the food. If your looking for a good drink there are a lot of options. The bartender recommended an old fashioned with Basil Hayden burbon. It will be my go to drink here. 100% recommended If you like whiskey.

We absolutely love Gallaghers. Always have enjoyed it. The service is outstanding. We used to eat dinner there at least 4/5 x a month. But we have slowed down eating there because the quality of the steaks has not been the best. We took a break for 2 months and decided to give it another shot. We eat at a lot of fine dining steak houses. But again last night the steak was not on point. We are not ones to complain about our food. But at this point we may just stick to Ruth's. And it makes me sad because I have bragged about gallghers for years. But it's just not the same anymore. I do want to give a big shout out to Megan the bartender. She is the only bartender that made my margarita taste like a margarita.. She was amazing and she won me over to stay with her at the bar instead of grabbing our table. Thanks Megan.

The steaks were reliably excellent, as were the appetizers. Redfish was overcooked; turtle sauce picante not flavorful at all. We pointed out to server. Drinks, steaks and service great!

This was our favorite place for special occasions. Birthdays and anniversaries would always be celebrated here. Sadly, the prices have seemingly doubled, while portions are smaller and food quality has dropped. We ordered the fried calamari (rubbery and chewy), the trio (bland and less of each offering than before), crispy redfish (bland, fish was dry and the brown butter sauce is now just an oily glaze coating everything), ribeye (terrible cut of meat riddled with tons of fatty chunks and gristle), mixed grill (quail was overcooked and dry, lamb chops were overcooked, one was mostly fat and gristle, seasoning was odd tasting and overpowering), pompano was as delicious as always, side of spinach was adequate, ooey gooey cake with ice cream was wonderful, flourless chocolate pyramid was delicious, as was the crème brûlée with berries. Bloody Mary was perfect as well. That being said, we paid $275 (excluding tip) for dinner and desserts for 4 of us. The only alcohol was 4 draft beers and my single Tito's Bloody Mary. It would still be worth it had the food met our expectations. Unfortunately, this was not the case on this occasion. The service was great but couldn't make up for the shortcomings.

Nice meal. We eat here often. The pompano was delicious. The wedge salad not as good as usual. Brown lettuce. Great service. Hot delicious bread and butter the delight of the meal! We recommend dining here and will return
