Been eating with this restaurant since it was South Seas up the road. Ordered so much to go sushi we had to set a limit on ourselves to once a month. And now we've eaten here for the last time.Two adults, 2 kids. We ordered apps, sushi, sweet and sour shrimp, and two orders of fried rice for the kids. The food starts coming out, one dish at a time. Then, with one dish still to come, everything stops. Waitress is asked for ginger sauce, and also asked if the chicken fried rice for one of the kids is still coming. Yep.We get brought 2 additional shrimp toast, no ginger sauce or fried rice.Finally get the sauce, no rice. That rice still coming? Yep.Then, eventually, she comes back with the ticket. Fried rice? Oh, I didn't put that in.Then she just. Looks at us.The child still needs to eat?Well, the kitchen is really busy.The child. Needs. To. Eat. We are halfway done with our meals.We were fighting to get to go boxes when her food finally arrived.The best part is when the bill finally arrives and that chicken fried rice is on there. You're joking, right?Manager says unless you disliked the meal, you have to pay for the food we forgot then took an hour to bring when everyone else was done. Note to future customers who experience this: you don't like the meal. Apparently Koi's wants you to lie.They'll be another abandoned building in Slidell shortly, at this rate. Chinese places abound around here, as do sushi restaurants. Keep going.

The whole experience was great.Food was very good.Staff was friendly and attentive.The whole problem was extra tip was added to my card that was not approved.Ruined the whole experience and this place was highly recommended. Unfortunately called the restaurant to dispute it and got nowhere.So definitely won't be going here again.

Trucker Lady
Ordered the General Tso chicken and it was very underwhelming. Looks like they just fried a giant chicken breast and then sliced it. It was dry and the sauce wasn’t thick enough. The sushi was falling apart from not enough rice being rolled tightly. Overall just felt like the cook was lazy and didn’t take the proper measures for a delicious meal.

My first time eating here. The employees were very personable and helpful. The atmosphere inside of the restaurant was casual and welcoming, in addition to being clean. The food was delicious. I chose a combination plate with 3 different proteins. The serving size was adequate, if not generous.

Was not impressed with the dish I was served. The broccoli was crisp and would have been delicious, except the other parts of the dish seemed like they were under a lamp or from a buffet.

The service is awesome at koi's. Ladies are always super nice. The quality and taste of the food has decreased in the last year or so and I'm not sure why. Just my opinion, maybe they changed who they buy from ? Not sure but I can say, much nicer owner without his mom around! (Sorry!)

We have been here a few times and this last time was the worst. Server brought my wife’s food and said mine was coming. Finally got my food after 10 to 15 minutes later. My wife had already finished her meal. This has happened the 3 or 4 times we have been here. I had a beef and vegetable dish and the beef was so tough it was inedible. I related this to the server and all she did was make a joke about it, saying “we’ll have to make it softer next time”. Really! There will not be a next time.

Today we had lunch. I ordered sushi and husband ordered a beef and vegetable dish. . I got my sushi and waitress said husbands dish up next. He waited 15 minutes for his meal. When the waitress delivered it she said it’s about time and laughed. I had finished my meal. The beef in his dish was so tough that he could not eat 8 of the pieces of beef. When he told the waitress, she just laughed and said, “they need to soften it more”. She had no clue, and didn’t apologize or offer to get manager, nothing. We paid and left. I called the manager later in the day and told him what happened. I just explained she needed to be trained more how to handle complaints. He said he would talk to her, nothing else. No apologies! We will not ever go back.
