Since we didn't eat I can't rate their food but everything looked fried. We tried to get in at 1:15....open till 3:00. There were several tables available and seats at the bar. Super loud in there!!! The person who might seat you ignored us, wiped off a table or two and had a laugh with other employees. We went TO her since she stopped making eye contact to ask if we could sit at the bar. She told my husband something. Couldn't understand her, possibly a tongue ring? Anyway we were pretty much told we could come back later. Not sure why the kitchen was possibly closing. We won't give it another try as we're out of towners. Bad impression during Mardi Gras. So we walked up the street and found the friendliest bar/restaurant, plenty of patrons but not so loud, delicious gumbo, tomato basil soup, fish tacos and fried green tomatoes with blackened shrimp. The Maple Room!!

Great po boys. Old bicycle shop that is now a sandwich shop. The place was full and people kept coming. I see why it is so popular.
A local restaurant located in old Slidell, Ky's serves classic Louisiana food. I recommend the roast beef po-boy. And the fried oysters are "the best I ever had," according to my partner.

Like most places in the area, this restaurant delivered gourmet food and a delightful atmosphere. The sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had. Oh! And the bread pudding was divine.

Perfectly fried shrimp every time. Love the house dressing. Attentive service. The poboys are loaded and the bread is soft but crackly.
Love this little gem!! Always delicious. Great owners!! Love the nachos and hamburgers!!!

I remember coming here as a kid and thirty years later it still has that same feeling when you walk in. The smell of yummy goodness. The smiling faces behind the counter greet you and are ready to whip up a tasty treat for you.

Have been wanting to try this place ever since I moved to Slidell a few years ago. Recently I passed and saw a “Steak Night Thursday” banner up and thought, this is my chance! Who doesn’t like a good steak? I had not realized that KY was Kevin Young of Young’s Steakhouse. My bad. He introduced himself as “the good looking brother” and won my heart immediately with his warmth and good nature. But then came the STEAK and Oh. My. Lord. The photos cannot do it Justice. A 14 Oz trimmed, perfectly cooked rib eye with fully loaded baked potato and salad. $35. And the BEST steak I’ve had since I don’t know when. Highly recommend this Slidell institution for its rich history, fabulous location in OldeTowne, charming owner and on-point food, cooked to perfection.
Great!
