On yesterday I went to Longhorn in Slidell Louisiana for my birthday upon arrival before being seated I told the waiter (Makayla M.) it was my birthday and asked will there be free desert and I also asked do they sing happy birthday. I finished my meal and paid but she still hadn't gotten my desert so I asked her for it and her response was I could no longer get it because I had paid for my food already in which I asked for a manager but she never called him/her. She goes to the back and came back with desert so I than asked when were they going to sing happy birthday and she replied by saying oh we are under staffed and are unable to sing to you. I set there and said okay I understand but a few moments later a white family comes in and immediately they sing happy birthday to them. This time I called for a manager and I was firm about seeing one and her words to me is she didn't know why I was told no for desert or why I was denied being sung to. She gave me a card for a free entree and free dessert but that does not fix the situation. We were clearly discriminated because of the color of my skin. Longhorn needs to do better.
Server was dealing with a personal issue and was pulled off the floors, this was just before she delivered only 1/3 of our meals. My six year old kept asking where his food was and no one walking by we could flag down to inquire. When server finally showed up she was extremely apologetic but after the wait it was not good enough; my other son couldn’t even start his meal because his requested sauces for his tenders had yet to arrive which means by the time she surfaced his tenders were cold, and we had a “hangry” six year old. I did voice my displeasure and she said she would grab her manager. Manager noted she was in his office due to a personal issue. I am not insensitive by far as I am also a manager who manages others and understands that life happens but the time she spent in that office, no one thought “let me send someone to ensure her tables have what they need??”. We had another meal that just never made it out, and I asked to have it canceled. Manager offered to comp a few items from bill and to comp a desert. The wait for the final bill was surreal and the dessert never came. Disappointed to say the least. Restaurant had two other tables as it was nearing closing time therefore the wait was undue and extremely frustrating. We got there at 9p and didn’t leave until well after 11p..

Our table was dirty, wet with crumbs on the seat and the table was smeared. I had to ask the hostess the clean our table. I ordered the chicken parm, upon chewing the food, I pulled a long strand of hair from the food. Talk about nasty. The Slidell location's quality is below average at best.

Got a Togo order for $140. Both steaks were overcooked and super salty. The shrimp was almost burnt. Waited 20 mins after I got there to tell they was out of corn and wasn’t sure if she could take it off the bill. Seriously!!!!

Good food but service sucked
So this was my first and possibly my last. I wanted lamb chops those are seasonal. So we ordered steak/shrimp and rib/chicken. After waiting about 35 mins we finally get the appetizer and drinks. Then about 10 mins later food arrives. The steak was over cooked (I ordered medium well it was well done) with a large glob of cheese which took over its taste. My husband never received any ribs because apparently they were sold out when she put our order in and she never told us. But this is the kicker... we only received a 10% discount and they attempted to charge us for a larger portion of chicken (which was about 3-4 bucks more than the actual size we received. Our waitress was not attentive AT ALL. We had empty drink cups, no silverware, and missing items but someone else assisted us every time we had an issue. The management never made to our table to address these issues or apologize. Keep in mind we drove from new orleans to eat here.. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT.

July 8th. 630 pm. Atmosphere very good. Ordered a medium rare ribeye. Cooked to perfection. Asparagus was seasoned better than any Asparagus ever.! My husband ordered the pork chops which were awesomely seasoned and tender for center cut. His fried okra was differently shaped than normal but was seasoned deliciously! We were pleasant surprised because the recent reviews were skeptical. We will be back all the way from east new orleans. KEEP THE COOKS!

I ordered flo filet tasted like it was double sipped on peppercorn seasoning so much couldn't taste flavor of steak same with spouses Ribeye. The Caesar salad was heavy with dressing way too much. We are from Alabama thought quality would be same but not at all. Disappointing with cost compared to quality .
