Only eat the thin fried catfish anything else you will not enjoy.
The onion rings were burnt, fried it what taste like a month old grease. The shrimp bites, lmao, couldn't even taste shrimp, fried in the same old grease. The fired shrimp was like eating the sun dried shrimp on the grocery store isle, (which actually tastes better then these). The Hush Puppies, wow, you could literally throw one at the window and it'll shatter the glass. Didn't even try the fries, same ole grease. The fried oysters, my god, taste like they were rancid and a month old.

I need my stomach pumped out...!

If Gordon Ramsey was here he'll shot this place down within twenty minutes...

First time to the Slidell location. Normally, we go to Manchac was amazing. Laura, the nicest, brought out our food. She was so nice and polite. I loved the pickles. The food is amazing at both locations. Over 91 years of doing it right.

Hands down thee worst restaurant on the North Shore hands maybe the whole Nola region. If it wasn’t for their excellent signature dish, thin sliced fried catfish it wouldn’t even rate one star. Starting with the three day old stale bread, runny cole slaw, mushy vegetables to the over-seasoned, dry hush puppies and over cooked crab cakes. Up charged for the sugar bombed vegetables to substitute for the fries but lethargic, grossly unhappy waitress didn’t take it off the bill though she took it away. Manager couldn’t care less when I bought some of these issues up with her. Steer clear of this place as your taste buds and stomach will be ever grateful my friends.

It is great restaurant to go to. Love their thin fish, and their Bourbon choices. Service is great and the Manager is amazing! My husband and I love talking to her about Bourbon!!

I wasn't impressed.
They served FROZEN onion rings not fresh made.
That's just not right.
I won't return.

Never had a catfish poboy with such thin pieces of catfish.... and it was awesome. So crunchy. The place was swell... clean, bright and our server was very nice. Can't remember his name though.

$9 of up charge we were not told about beforehand for three people . When I complained to the server, she got a manager to help her. Only one charge was removed. I had gone to the car and was not aware or I would have questioned more. Customers should be made aware up front of any price difference. Two trips in one for us.

Mid is a good word to describe this place. Our server was fantastic, the atmosphere was nice with some good views. The food was ok?

We got the stuffed mushrooms, and Italian oysters. The flavor was mostly the spinach, and somehow very soggy. The cheese was ok. The server offered to replace it, and/or get the manager based on us not eating it; we didn’t go there. It was just not to our taste.

Entrees the house platter and the seafood pasta. With the addition of Tony’s, black pepper, and hot sauce the pasta was great 8/10. The platter was less flavorful. The catfish was good, but needed the sauces and table seasoning. Good crispy/texture/crunch on them. The hush puppies were dry, the fries unseasoned, and coleslaw was stellar.

The drink machine was out the day we went so just got tea. It was good.

We skipped desert based on the other food.

The server was fantastic. The place was just not our taste.

The bill was reasonable.

Personally Over-rated. I think it's more the idea of going to Middendorf's like so many other generations than is it the food it's self.

Hostess didn’t seem to care for anything. Waitress was nice until it was time to leave. Food was ok but super small portions but the turtle soup was ok with some Tony’s. The place was nice and open.
