The food is superb. We love going there at least twice a month but lately we have not been going because it is so noisy in there. They need to do something to the ceiling since they remodeled to absorb the noise in there. It gets extremely loud.

These folks just get it! The staff is both friendly and efficient. A table was quickly put together for our party of five adults and two munchkins. Our server happily accepted the modifications to my stuffed catfish order and the kitchen executed flawlessly. Everyone loved their food and specifically commented on how good the Voo-Boo Crawfish rolls were. Even among many terrific restaurants in the area, New Orleans Food and Spirits is a standout.

We’ve eaten here at last 75 times. The food is always fantastic, service is quick, and the servers are great! There’s no way to get bad food here.

The food, atmosphere, location and friendly service are superb!! The fried oysters were cooked perfectly, which is hard to find: crispy yet not too much batter and not chewy. The spinach salad was very good. The star for me was the salmon! And the baked potato was huge.

Atmosphere was neat. Older home turned into a restaurant. Voodoo crawfish roll and dipping sauce was delicious! All four meals were delicious! Seafood sampler, sweet potato fries, catfish specials, crawfish and salad were enjoyed by everyone. Left stuffed.

I enjoy the atmosphere and the service at the Lee St. in Covington restaurant. And the food is excellent!

The wife and I decided to try this restaurant after recommendations from our family who live nearby. We shared a shrimp poboy and a large order of onion rings. The poboy was great and the onion rings were awesome. The only problem was that we didn’t need a large onion ring order because it was way more than we could eat. The prices are very reasonable and We will definitely be back.

Food and service were excellent. Server was very helpful with preparing meal to meet my dietary restrictions. Restaurant is very nicely decorated. Location is very pleasant with a nice view of the outdoors. But, the men's restroom is in dire need of remodeling. The urinal is full of rust and bad caulking, the floor has a hole near the toilet partition, the walls need to be repainted, the brown switches and switch plate are a stick in the eye -they should be white to blend in with the wall. Even the entrance door is worn and abused. This restroom is an insult to your customers. If the restroom that the public uses looks so bad, how does the kitchen look where the customers don't normally enter? I mentioned the restroom concern to the manager on duty but he was rather noncommittal. He said he would notify the owner but didn't seem to be confident that anything would be done.

My husband and I shared the shrimp feast which had 2 Stuffed Shrimp, Shrimp Pasta Latayette and a number of fried Shrimp. We didn't care for the stuffed shrimp--large balls of breading and shrimp. The pasta with shrimp was tasty as were the fried shrimp. However, I always hate to have to take prepared shrimp apart to clean out the veins. Ugh! The help was very nice and the atmosphere was ok.

It was a Friday night and the place was packed. We had a 30 minute wait at the bar which was a great experience. The bartenders were very friendly and accommodating. They had many choices of drinks and we decided on beer. We had a gnarly barley on draft and a purple haze. Great choices. Our table is ready and they said it is in a porch area with a view of the trees. The waitress suggested an appetizer that was out of this world. Crawfish rolls. My husband got the redfish Pontchartrain with vegetables and said it was the best fish of our whole trip which we had taken to Florida. I had the stuffed blackened catfish with shrimp spaghetti and it was the best catfish I’ve ever tasted. All of the staff was pleasant and helpful and cheerful. Even though we live in Texas we will be back.

We met another couple for dinner before going to a play at Playmakers Community Theatre in Covington. We all shared some crawfish rolls; - my wife had the Hawaiian Salmon ( picture attached) that she like very much and the bite I had was very good; -I had the Crab cake Pontchartrain (picture after I started eating is attached)it was also very good; My two margaritas were also good. Over all a nice dinner out with our friends!!

Totally enjoyed my visit at this quaint and welcoming little restaurant! I had the nicest waitress, who was very thoughtful in offering me a taste of their Loozianne Crawfish stew before ordering my meal. And, it was a great move on her part, 'cause it was delish! I ended up having it over fried catfish and rice with no regrets. Somehow I managed to have at least half of their bread pudding for dessert, and took the rest back to where I was staying at. Thank God she brought me the take out box quickly, or else I was going to eat it all in one seating. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of their selections. They were very welcoming and it is noted, as the locals came in one after the other for lunch.

What a nice local restaurant near downtown Covington. We had a bowl of gumbo and the Blackened tuna Lafayette. Both were good and not heavy. The tuna was a little tough but tasty. Our waitress, Kelsey was very helpful in making choices and was always available.

The food is really delicious,! However I don’t think they should let the waitresses brush their hair behind the bar. The bathroom isn’t that far away.
