When I tell you scoured for a GOOD place to eat that wasn't commercialized, I'm so happy we finally found it. We got so much food for the value and it was seasoned!!! Everything is made from scratch and made to order. Catfish was so crispy when it came out. Coming from WI. we will definitely be back. A great stop after the Cajun encounters tour. Just 9 mim away.

Walked in to a gentleman sitting at the counter. He treated us right away and took our order. He was very friendly and chatted with us after the meal as well. He made sure everything was exactly as we ordered it and was ready to fix anything if it wasn't right. I ordered the shrimp and grits; it was amazing. It took me back home to NOLA without having to leave Slidell. My husband ordered the double cheeseburger. When I say huge, it's an understatement. Each patty was almost a pound. Unfortunately, the only photo I have is a half-eaten burger because he dug right in. We also had an order of boudin balls; they came with a very tasty dipping sauce. I haven't been to a place that I would want to go back to the very next day in a while, but this place is one for sure we will be going back to soon.

I got the single burger and fries. It was amazing!!!!! Service was excellent and food came in a timely manner. Definitely will be back. I think I'll try the gyro next time. Beef and lamb!!!! I'll be back to try that soon!!!
