I have always loved this place. However, the ownership has changed and it is no longer the same. They removed the Banh Xeo, Carmelized Catfish, and other great menu items. I understand the need for menu changes and deducted no points for that, but the food is just not as good. The grilled pork in the bao was full of gristle and barely edible. We all.had to spit pieces out into napkins, not a pleasant dining experience. Ramen was added to the menu (the reason many items were removed), which I ordered. It was quite bland, probably the least flavorful Ramen I've ever had, so disappointing. My friends had the black special pho which has always been a favorite of mine. It was good, but it used to be brisket and meatballs and is now chicken. As far as the atmosphere, really not much, especially since they removed all the booth seating, but that's not why you would come here.
I'm sure there are still good menu items and perhaps your visit will be better than mine. With the old owners and the way it was, I would have given it 5 stars. Not sure why anyone would want to mess up what was already there and successful.

The food here is exceptionally fresh and flavorful. We had the opportunity to speak with the new owner, who shared that everything is prepared fresh daily, starting as early as 7 AM. The beef bánh mì and pho were both outstanding, rich in flavor and clearly made with care. They also offer ramen, which was equally impressive. The broth is simmered for 6 to 7 hours, resulting in a deep, satisfying taste. We truly enjoyed our experience here and we’ll be back!

New ownership. Cool changes. Give them grace as they’re still transitioning. Still flavorful. Pho is a different recipe but still delicious. There are some new items as well.

The new owners are clueless! I have given them many chances. The daughter of the owner cuts you off while talking. I think New Orleans fits them better.

I recently moved to Slidell and have already been to Pho House at least six times — it's that good! The pork dishes are definitely the standout here. My go-to order includes the Black Special, pork spring rolls, and pork fried rice — all absolutely fire! 🔥🔥🔥 Highly recommend if you're craving flavorful, satisfying Vietnamese food.

I was on a road trip driving back from Austin, TX to Orlando, FL and my parents wanted Viet food. My family got the spring rolls, pho, banh mi, and Viet coffee - everything was genuinely 10/10. Not to mention the service was amazing too! The pho is the real highlight, the broth was super flavorful, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. If I ever find myself passing through here, I will be back! :)

Today was my first taste of Pho House! I ordered take-out: small chicken pho, grilled shrimp spring rolls, and a strawberry boba smoothie!
I tend to judge a Vietnamese restaurant based on their pho broth, alone, and HOLY COW is their broth flavorful! I didn’t even WANT to add the toppings! I wanted to savor every bite, but because i love the crunch of bean sprouts, I threw those into my bowl and it just made my soup that much better.
The shrimp spring rolls were just as flavorful, and the dipping sauce?! Home run. I didn’t feel like I was dipping my spring rolls into a tablespoon of soupy peanut burger. The Pho House dipping sauce was amazing.
The strawberry boba smoothie? Didn’t taste like a sugar bomb. SO delicious!
My only gripe is that rather than living directly next door to this delicious restaurant, I live 40 min away in Mississippi. But I will definitely be returning! Sooo worth it!

Great stop right off the highway on a long drive, fast service and delicious food.
Best wonton soup I've ever had. A small (but not small) $6 soup, topped with green onion, fried onions and delicious chicken. The steamed buns were also great. Comparable to a Bahn Mi sandwich without the bread, instead it's a steamed rice bun! Egg rolls were awesome as expected.
If I lived around here I'd come all the time.
