Nice clean place for Vietnamese food. Best pho outside New Orleans East. Brisket is too lean and chewy. Broth is quite good.

Maybe they had an off day, but out of my tons of reviews this is my first bad one. And I feel bad about doing it. I got the bun bo hue. It was watery and had absolutely no spice whatsoever. The broth was clear with a slight slight tinge of red oily stuff on top. Maybe their pho is good but I wouldn't recommend the bun bo hue. I've actually seen this at other places where they just try to throw some chili oil in the other soup broth and call it bun bo hue. The only problem is this one was watery also. A water flavor stood out more than a beef or chicken broth. I added a picture so you can see the slight redness around the rim and clear through to my spoon. I don't expect my spoon to disappear but it shouldn't be that clear.

Update-I appreciate a restaurant that cares enough to answer one customer. This was my first time there and I only tried one thing and the place was completely packed with people so I believe this wasn't a true representation of the entire restaurant it was probably just a one-off. I will return and try some other items.

The most discussing food I’ve had in a long time. The service was good. However, the food was not seasoned AT ALL. It was cold. Nasty. Had the chicken curry and it tasted like dirt I swear, with sticky rice. The egg rolls weren’t the traditional egg rolls. It was one shrimp wrapped and deep fried. Like where’s the cabbage and stuff man?! But because I didn’t want pork rolls, they created something else. I drove 15 minutes for slop.

The two employees at front were talking crap about me, didn’t say your welcome when I said thank you, and didn’t even look at me not even once when I asked for something, even if they did they gave me a nasty look, I don’t know them at all and all I wanted was some pho, that’s it.

Service was fantastic, staff assisted my coworker with ordering a dish that she would enjoy as it was only her second time ever eating Vietnamese cuisine, and she throughly enjoyed the food. The food was delicious with fresh vegetables and flavored tender meats. Prices are good for the quality and quantity of food. Always a favorite place to eat when I’m on that side of town!

This has been my favorite pho spot in slidell for years! Great prices compared to everyone one else in town.
