Southern Boys Po-Boy Factory

Passing through town on our way home. Wanted a good shrimp poboy. Picked Southern Boys as it was the closest from I-12. We all enjoyed our po boys. They were hot and fresh. The bread to so good!!! We also picked up a king cake, too!!!

I went to this place at least two or three different times on the recommendation of another business that I frequently often on each occasion I was very disappointed. The first time I asked to have my salad place separately. How do you put hot food with a cold salad on the same plate and all the juices from the hot food rolls into the salad mind you it’s not a delicatessen salad. It’s only shredded lettuce and a piece of tomato which is horrific the time I went again was today. I asked to have my salad placed on the side. I was told it would be a 50 Cent up charge for a box to put the salad in if I didn’t want it on the same plate absolutely unacceptable so I get the salad. It was in a box here we go the same horrific salad from the last time it’s not even a salad. It’s not even worth calling a salad if you’re gonna spend $20 on a plate at least you should have a nice amount of robust lettuce or some Romain lettuce then I don’t get any condiments or offered any condiments not like the customer that left before me, oh sir, do you need any ketchup? Do you need any tartar sauce? I never got that. I was made to feel as if I was under the soul of these peoples feet and I did not appreciate it because my money spends just like everybody else’s and I should’ve been given the dignity and respect that was due me. This food was not free and I had every right to request to have my food prepared the way I wanted it. How dare you make me feel as if you giving me something for free and I just have to accept it the way you give it to me not when I’m spending my money. I highly do not recommend this place and I am floridly upset and will never return nor recommend anyone to go there.

Best shrimp and oyster poboy I have had in a long time. I grew up in Slidell but now live in Florida, this will be my go to when passing through on I-10. Highly recommend.

Food is pretty good but nearly THIRTY dollars for a roast beef and onion rings. The food or atmosphere is not worth the price. Not sure I'm going back. It's sad I've been going there for a LONG time...40yrs I guess. Wish yall hadn't priced me out of your business. Thanks for the good food through the years.

Witnessed the owner of this business demonstrate his extreme prejudice, and hatred, towards all those with medical conditions (handicapped), just like in the days of the civil rights movement, when people of color were denied service based on hateful people’s ignorance.

This horrible, ignorant, arrogant, poor excuse of a human REFUSED SERVICE to two customers, solely based on their medical conditions, which prevented them from wearing a face mask. Even though the two customers were respecting “social distancing”, and were following all local mandates, they were denied service.

This appears to be a clear violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, as he denied service to two customers based solely on their medical condition (handicap).

This was such a disgusting display of pure prejudice and ignorant hatred, that I left my order, and walked out, and will never return. ‘

Shame on this horrible business for treating the ones of our society that need the most understanding, like they are “less than”, and not worthy of entering his store.

The only thing I would have to say that I did not like is that they handle the food in the back with no gloves as I kind of always figured that ready to eat food should have been handled with either gloves or at least a utensil. Nonetheless I have eaten worse and I paid for it so I ate it and I will say at least the food was good.

Well...heard the hype with this restaurant. I'm a graduate of Johnson & Wales University and expect quality for price. Thought I'd give the Po Boy Factory a shot. Order two, one for me and Wife. Had the Tuesday special Spaghetti and meatballs 12.99. For starters the pasta was over cooked. Meatballs were the size of golf balls. Granted I called ahead to ask if the meatballs are mase fresh. Yes sir freshly made. No taste and dry...it came with a side salad. Iceberg lettuce with two sliced tomatoes. The salad so called put in the same container as my hot course meal. By the time I got home the salad was the same temperature as the pasta. I don't like bashing small businesses but give the quality and quantity for the price.

Absolutely delicious!! We had gotten the shrimp plate, roast beef po boy, and some onion rings! Customer service is great, food came quickly and was very fresh/hot!

Poboys, roast beef and smoked sausage were good ! We will be back!

Best thing the edgewater mall in Biloxi ever offered. I work right down the road and am always wondering what to eat for lunch. Now I can't decide what to get off their menu because I want it all 😭

Before I knew they had a location in Slidell - I said ain't no way this isn't an actual restaurant already. Food quality and quantity is 10/10. So happy to have them here on the coast 🥰

All the ladies are great , the food is great as well the fried shrimp on bun to die for & the fish Po boy yum , can't wait to go back ...

Best Po-Boys around! The owner works behind the counter, is super friendly, and gets the order prepared quickly! Delicious food, nice and fresh! Only drawback is that this restaurant is not open on weekends... 😕
