Roots Plants + Coffee

My friend brought me to Roots after an eye exam and I fell in love with the place. This is not your ordinary coffee shop - the plants, the coffee, the ambience, even clothes to buy - it's like what is going on here - nothing but goodness is what. I love this place and though I live 40 minutes away, when I have to be in Slidell, you best believe I'm stopping in at Roots Plants + Coffee Old Town. 💯

The atmosphere is so welcoming, 😎 to get out your laptop and do some work while enjoying some coffee. 1st time there I ordered a 🥪 and loved the fruit alternative to chips.

The atmosphere is charming and peaceful ~ think mismatched furniture, soft music, and the kind of lighting that makes everything feel a little more magical. It’s the perfect spot to read, work, or just enjoy a moment of calm.

I don't like doning bad reviews for local businesses but it was not a very good experience. They are very over priced on their coffees compared to alot of other companies. I got a 20 once frappe with a extra shot and it was $9.50 I get the same coffee from gulfport for 4.75 almost $5 less. And unfortunately its not like the coffee is amazing it really didn't taste any different than Starbucks or anyone else. If your looking for a coffee I suggest going to a more reasonable place.

My wife and I travel to the area a few times a year to visit family and have always struggled to find a good coffee shop in the past. Roots is a God send. Undeniably the best spot around, no competition. Great combinations of flavors done extremely well. Enjoy a sweet drink? They got you covered. Looking for something coffee forward? You absolutely won't be disappointed. Chai was top notch. Skilled baristas, very kind and welcoming, atmosphere is fantastic. Our new go-to spot when in the area, couldn't recommend it more.

Grab a coffee, a great book, and relax! This was my first visit at Roots, Plants + Coffee and it was beyond great! As soon as you walk in, it’s like you’re in someone’s home. The atmosphere is welcoming and soothing! The staff greets you immediately with a smile. I ordered a Birds of Paradise latte and croissant! I was there for 2 1/2 hours, lol! Talk about comfort lol. I loved the antique furniture! But the PLANTS! Omg, such a beautiful collection! I will be back.

If you like Chai tea, then this is the spot for it. I am 100% a Starbucks only chai, and this place tops that 😋
The staff are great, and the overall vibes are relaxing, quaint, and peaceful ✌️
Location is ideal, which makes for a perfect walk to the farmers market on the weekend!

Two years later driving through Louisiana and I had to stop again. What a gem if you’re driving across I10 stop here. Vibes, plants, coffee what more do you need.

I’m visiting family and my daddy was a Marine, his coffee is stronger than all of the super heroes combined and I almost always get at least one extra shot of espresso in my coffee drinks. And yet my coffee cowers in the corner in comparison to my dad’s. It’s undrinkable to anyone other than mother and daddy. So I visited this quaint little shop, the coffee was phenomenal, the service was amazing, the street it’s on is lined with umbrellas… the ambiance alone is worth the visit. 15/10 for the coffee though

Whenever I visit family in Diamondhead, I drive the 30 minutes just to grab a coffee here! It’s always delicious and the service is always lovely.

This is not only a great place to hang out, but the shrooms boom (a mushroom wrapped pastry) and a French press or one of my favorites.
