My friend brought me to Roots after an eye exam and I fell in love with the place. This is not your ordinary coffee shop - the plants, the coffee, the ambience, even clothes to buy - it's like what is going on here - nothing but goodness is what. I love this place and though I live 40 minutes away, when I have to be in Slidell, you best believe I'm stopping in at Roots Plants + Coffee Old Town. 💯

I felt welcomed from the front door to the counter to the table. The atmosphere is very serene. Whether you are working remotely or just enjoying the delicious coffee or other menu selections, you will feel at peace. I had the Wild berry cobbler machata with soy milk and a warm chocolate croissant. Roots Plants and Coffee is the place. Take my word bot come and relax for yourself.

Slidell has its share of coffee houses, and this is the one you want. Totally local, amazing food offerings, and sooo many plants inside. And they’re for sale.

Way overpriced sandwiches $13 for a turkey sandwich three little pieces of meat cheese, and some kind of green stuff on the bottom potato chips tasted stale I think they need to stick to making coffee sandwiches is not it.

Where do I start!! This place was an Oasis to say the least! I googled and this gem popped up in my search, I couldnt be more pleased! It's small and intimate, plants and neo soul music was the icing on the cake for me! Service was genuine and our host offered great suggestions and she was very knowledgeable! This spot is perfect if you're in search of great vibes, timeless accents, and great coffee!

Lovely venue and friendly staff, but the food and coffee unfortunately weren't that great. The vegetarian sandwich was pretty bland and the portion size was small. Food also took a really long time to come out.

The atmosphere is so welcoming, 😎 to get out your laptop and do some work while enjoying some coffee. 1st time there I ordered a 🥪 and loved the fruit alternative to chips.
