Stopped by yesterday morning. Sign said opened but door was locked. Was initially disappointed but decided to call from the parking lot prior to leaving. I’m so glad I made that decision. The business was open, and the owner was inside and had “instinctively” re-locked the door behind him. Once inside, it was a welcoming atmosphere and smells of Jamaica. I picked up various spices, salt dis, bread, sour sop, soaps, etc. The aromas from the back peaked my curiosity, so I ordered curried goat and oxtails to go. OMG! I tasted both when I got in my vehicle, but immediately decided that I wanted to get completely comfortable to enjoy these dishes. If you’re searching for authentic Jamaican cuisine, spices, teas, etc, do yourself a favor and visit this one-stop location. You won’t be disappointed.

I ate here a year ago, and I definitely plan to go back the next time we are in the area. The service was pleasant. They had everything we asked for, plus a neat place to browse and shop for authentic Jamaican grocery items. I had the oxtails, and my wife had the jerk chicken. You can't go wrong!

This is by far the best Jamaican Restaurant in Slidell. There is another Jamaican and Honduran restaurant down the street headed south on Pontchartrain but it’s is not very good and much more expensive.

Best Jamaican food and market in the New Orleans area. Worth the drive every time. The owners are so sweet. I visit this place frequently.

My girlfriend got me food from this restaurant. I loved it! I regret I was not able to visit in person. Hoping to meet the owners next time. One love Jamaica.

First time stopping in. Pretty nice place to get some of my favorite Jamaican drinks and items. I loved the reggae gospel they were playing. I purchased 1 veggie pattie, 1 large bag of Irish seamoss, 2 jars of soursop, 1 bag of dried sorrel, 1 hair oil, and 1 bottle of mount teman roots and my total came to $71.change. Wasn't given receipt for don't remember the change. Next time I will ask for my receipt because the listed prices didn't seem to total that much. I bought it because I needed it. May consider my old way of shopping unless I'm in the area or absolutely need it.
