We enjoyed the best shrimp poboys and onion rings! The bread they use for the poboys is wonderful! The shrimp were a perfect size, perfectly battered up and perfectly fried. The size of the sandwich was just right as well, and overstuffed the way we like it. The lettuce, tomato, and pickles were fresh and added the perfect touch. As for the thick cut homemade onion rings, those were honestly the best onion rings we have ever had from anywhere. I could make a meal out of their onion rings and I might just do that one day! I must add that we feel the prices are very affordable. Other places in town are charging more for food that isn’t nearly as good.

This food is delicious!!! Service was great!!!! Recommend the spinach and artichoke dip and the French dip!!! Friend got the hamburger steak and it was also delicious 10/10!!!! Best food ever!!

Very over rated food was bland my Philly cheese steak was charred burnt like leather not even edible . The muffetta was tasteless over powered with garnishes . Never received our fries ? never received but one drink refill ..was recommended by a few locals but I see nothing here worth mentioning out of a group of 5 none of us loved our food except one.of.the kids shrimp plate .it's very over priced for what u get but we are comparing this to Illinois and other areas but there is or better food at less crowded places in slidell this place was not worth the 30min wait nor the crappy service and lack or taste and price 80$ for a Philly a muffetta and 2kids shrimp plates and a kids burger all waters to drink 1 tea .. again if u like ur Philly steak like leather this is ur place

The food was delicious as always. The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars this time was our server. She barely paid any attention to us the whole time and was even staring at the tv while we were giving our orders. My daughter asked for sprite but since she wasn’t paying attention, the server brought her water. Her name was Kim. We’ve never had this issue there before. But at least the food was amazing as always!!

On the way home from New Orleans with my family my wife found this place on Google with great reviews. My wife, two kids and myself were very hungry as we spent the day walking the gardens this morning. My wife ordered the gumbo and oyster plate, that only came with 3 tiny oysters and three smallest strips of fish I've ever seen, might as well have ordered fish stick, but she enjoyed the gumbo, my oldest son only being two wanted the hotdog and macaroni and cheese, he enjoyed his in full, I ordered the Angus beef and fries, but I didn't realise that apparently they do not believe in seasoning there, the burger had no taste, not even salt and pepper, the Texas toast it came on was burnt so much all you saw was black char and I never received my fries. Our server was very kind and was very Polite to our children but the kitchen needs some work on the food.
My daughter and I had the best burger yesterday. It was right off the grill. Absolutely cooked perfectly. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. I am so upset I dont remember her name. She was a pleasure. We'll be back!
Came for late lunch with high expectations but left disappointed. The place is crowded and loud, kids running around, and the food was under-seasoned and just plain. Service is ok, waitress didn’t check on us once after food was served.

I made an online order August 30, 2024 as was requested by the restaurant. I had originally tried calling in the order, but was told by staff they were too busy to take my order by phone and it needed to be done online so that it could be accurately completed.
Online order completed and the response from the restaurant was please give them 30 minutes to complete. I arrived at the restaurant 25 minutes after submission with my payment already placed.
Inside, the place was empty except for a couple of tables and a few people scattered around the bar. The tables were clean with only one table waiting to be bussed. This did not look like an extremely busy place, rather slow as the google "busy" schedule showed before the order was ever placed. This was Labor Day weekend and it appeared many usual patrons had made other plans as is customary for the not usual get away places and home cookouts with families.
The order was not completed until 50 minutes after it was placed. No "I'm sorry but we have been really busy can I get you a soft drink or something while you wait?" but I was left waiting for an order that was quickly bagged and handed to me. When I tried to confirm that everything for the order was in the bag. I was literally pushed out of the door.
I got home, my daughter's meal was not present. I called the restaurant about the missing order and told me they would "drop" the order right now and it should be ready in 10 minutes. I got back in the car, drove the 5 minutes back to the restaurant expecting the order to be ready soon after I got there. But NO, I had to wait another 10 minutes before the person who had packed the order incorrectly to determine if the order had not been packed (she never marked it off on the receipt she was in such a hurry to get the order out) before she told the cook what was needed. I had to wait another 15 minutes without the staff saying how sorry they were about the miss, here is an appetizer on us for the mistake before I got the missing meal.
My wife and I had gotten up at 0500 Detroit time to fly down to see our new granddaughter, daughter and son-in-law. The order was placed at 2000 CST on a barely busy night for mediocre food that was highly recommended to us. Once I finally got the meal back to my daughter, my meal was cold and I was so upset I threw mine away.
Is this how this operation is usually run? I don't care if it is a holiday weekend and everyone in the building wants to get out of the place to go party with friends, but you have chosen this job and you need to perform it with care. Now don't think I don't know what it is to work a service job, I spent 34 years working as a nurse on weekends, holidays and midnights without a service tip or a special meal. This is the type of service I expect from Taco Bell, McDonalds, Burger King and others, but not for a long established eatery.
It's a good thing you have your regular crowd who think this is acceptable service that is equal to Taco Bell. I will not be back and my local family is rethinking this establishment and notifying their friends to look else where for their dining experience. We have eaten at other Slidell restaurants and have never experienced such disregard for a patron.
