I think they’re overrated. It just didn’t live up to the hype. Service was wonderful and presentation was great but taste was less than. None of the items we ordered were seasoned well. The tacos didn’t have any taste. The wings were good not great. Although they were fried perfectly and were not dried out like most places, they didn’t have any flavor. They were bland. If it wasn’t for the sauce we ordered they wouldn’t have had any taste. It was like eating air. The atmosphere was nice as it always is but I wasn’t impressed with the food. I’ve been to food trucks that delivered better than here.

Have never had a bad experience in this casual, cool restaurant located in the heart of Olde Towne in Slidell. Outdoor benches are available as well as indoor seating. The food is consistently delicious. On this visit, we had a poblano pepper stuffed with cheese and the gnarly steak tacos. Also recommend the ceviche appetizer. Great for those wanting to avoid carbs and it’s enough for an entire meal.
I came in craving both tacos and beer. Honestly, I've lived in Texas for over 20 years, so I'm skeptical of Mexican/Tex-Mex spots in other parts of the world. But the birria tacos here really scratched that itch for me, and they sure gave me some beer too. If you find yourself needing to put both tacos and beer inside of your body, this is the spot for you.

First time getting wings from anywhere ..Amazing !! Is differently go back ..with daughters ,or friend ! I personally have a problem when kids can come into bar ..or most Casinos .it gets them a custom to barroom & the addictive sounds from casino ..like their games aren't enough ..but hey ..that's my issues !!

This restaurant was like the hooters of mexican food. The food was good, the waitstaff was adequate but the table and menus were filthy! Kinda gross. Burritos had 80% rice. Tacos were good. It was okay.
They are always packed. Which is a good thing but not if you're going for an outing the wait can be so long. I love the birdie tacos DELISH¡

If I could rate this place negative stars, I would.
We ordered birria tacos but somehow, they forgot the entire birria sauce you know, the whole point of birria tacos. Without the consomé, all we had were dry, cold tacos that looked like regret wrapped in a tortilla. Not only were they skimpy on the filling, but they also came cold, like they came straight off the kids’ menu at the DMV.
We tried to call and instead of an apology or solution they hung up on us
My sister went up there in person to speak to someone giving them a chance to fix it. But instead of accountability, she got condescension. The employee spoke to her with attitude and hands flying.
When my sister calmly pointed out the cold tacos and missing consomé, the girl barbie told her “we don’t control food temperatures” and refused to remake the order or offer something else. No empathy & no professionalism, just attitude and disrespect. She then offers a refund when she told her to refund it she says she cant do it only doordash can do it. When she asked for a manager they said no one was on duty. What kind of business opens without a manager? She left the food at the restaurant because why deal with people who treat you that way?
This isn’t just about tacos. This is about basic customer service and common decency. If you can’t provide a quality product or handle complaints without escalating them, maybe you’re in the wrong business.
You can delete reviews all day, but the truth doesn’t go away. Do better!

Went here despite reviews online, I’m so glad I did!!! The chips and cheese dip were SO GOOD. I haven’t had chips that perfectly crispy in awhile. Cheese dip had a little kick, which is my style. I ordered the burrito off the a la carte menu - delicious. My boyfriend had some tacos - also delicious. I only ranked them a 4 on service because the bartender forgot my boyfriend’s water and put in my burrito incorrectly (I wanted red sauce on top, but it came with cheese sauce on top. I’m not super picky so I ate it and it was still great). Check this place out if you’re ever in Slidell!
