THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! EGG FOO YOUNG WAS SO GOOD SOMEBODY PUT THEY WHOLE FOOT AND LEG INTO IT!! CHEFS KISS!!🤏🏾🤏🏾🤏🏾! Chef 🧑🍳 !!!! The food was fresh. The food was hot. The taste was a 10+ my first time and I will definitely go back. I will not do any other Chinese food in Slidell but taste the China! Meal I ordered was enough for three people at least!

It is, by far, the best Chinese in both Slidell and Picayune!Everything is super fresh! Veggies, chicken, and shrimp. (I believe it's because they are so busy! Food doesn't have time to sit for long) All the chicken dishes are white meat, and there is no extra charge. All dishes are made to order, according to your taste. I LOVE the shrimp egg rolls with their hot homemade mustard. The steam dumplings are a MUST! My favorite entrée is Szechuan chicken, with extra sauce, and my husband prefers the sweet and sour shrimp. Lastly, it is one family, making everything to order, so if you call ahead or use a delivery service, have patience during the evening hours, but I promise you will not be disappointed.

Typically, this place is very good and the people are really friendly.
But today, while waiting for a to go order, one of the kids was sitting in the dining room hacking up a lung. Someone in the kitchen sounded sick as well. Now they’re yelling back and forth between the kitchen and dining room. Not sure if I’m still hungry at this point. 🙄

Very disappointing... we ordered 2 meals and 2 sides and ZERO of them were good. Just not worth thr $40 spent on this crap.
I generally love and tell everyone about this place but today the Mandarin “Chicken” was off! It was basically fried breading undercooked on the inside with “chicken” meat particles. This is generally a fried slice of chicken breast not some mystery breaded meat. Disappointing to say the least. I hope this is not going be what you continue to serve and this is a one off.

Okay, here's an improved review based on your feedback: Taste of China: A Takeout Transformation! I had a less-than-stellar experience at Taste of China in Slidell a while back, but with my usual spot now closed, I decided to give them another try. I'm incredibly glad I did! It's clear they've made some significant improvements, and the food is now absolutely wonderful. From the perfectly cooked fried rice to the exceptionally fresh boneless spare ribs, everything I ordered was delicious. I've often found that the way they smoke their ribs can lead to dryness, but they've clearly mastered the technique. The ribs were juicy and flavorful. It's exciting to have Taste of China as a reliable option for both lunch and dinner. If you're looking for fantastic takeout in Slidell, I highly recommend giving them a try. They've definitely won me over!
Every dish I have tried has been great.....the ribs are delicious. I eat there weekly and they are not expensive. I would recommend them highly

First just say the food was tasty, just not exactly what I thought. I ordered all spicy dishes and there was no spice. Not saying it was bland, just literally 0 spice. I got kung Pao chicken, and my toddler, who can't even handle black pepper, had no problems eating off my plate. Maybe relabel the menu so we know what we are getting.
