I ordered to go because I love Texas roadhouse and I have eaten at the one on the West Bank and the one in other towns. I’ve never eaten at the one in Slidell. The green beans were out of a can and unseasoned so I didn’t eat them. The steak was cold And not medium well it was bloody. the baked potato was cold with no butter. There was butter for the bread. I was very disappointed.

Texas Roadhouse is a really good place to eat, friendly staff ,good service and food. Fresh chilled salads and great tender and tasty steak and the yeast rolls are served hot with sweet butter.. good tea too.

This place is in the dump. Manager was rude refused to seat us with a large party because every person that we said we had was not there at that time. We told them we would order drinks and appetizers and could even order food for everyone it was still no. She never showed her face again. But they turn around and sit a party of two at a six top table without a problem. We were a party of six and three of us were already there. The server dropped food on son in law literally on his shirt and continued stacking the plates and left it on the floor by his feet for us to get up around it. As she is looking at the plates empty on the table she tells me to just start putting the other plates on top of this one as she points for me to do their job. I doubt we return to this place anytime soon and probably never. It is ridiculous on how this place has went from come sit and enjoy your meal to here figure whose drink you have and clean your table before you leave. Horrible service Texas road house.

Ok I get it…it’s a chain restaurant but give me a moment.
I eat at places like this all across the country on the regular and this particular “chain” restaurant has done something most even fancy restaurants could take lessons from.
From the moment I crossed the threshold into this restaurant I was greeted with smiles and enthusiasm and genuinely felt like I was wanted…from the hostesses to the servers I could not have felt more welcome.
Now I did sit at the bar because I was solo and didnt want to occupy a full table but let me say I observed and it was the same throughout.
Service seems to be a lost art and this restaurant has somehow delivered a fresh outlook on what seems to be a forgotten craft. I had forgotten how nice it was to just be taken care of like you were the first guest at the grand opening
I’m convinced if you took the chain out of the phrase chain restaurant this restaurant would still thrive on service and attitude alone.
Now the food well at a chain restaurant you really are playing roulette but at this restaurant I hit the lottery. My ribeye was cooked perfect medium rare and was so juicy and tender, baked potato was so good you could eat the skin which to me is the judge of a good potato then I had the fresh veggies which was carrots and broccoli and for veggies well they were good veggies ok I’m not gonna rave on veggies but they were good…oh the rolls they did bring rolls as they was seated and YAS they were delicious I ate two.
Bottom line the name may be a chain but the service and food is S-Tier in my book and I’ll becoming back the next time I’m in town.

First time been to Texas Roadhouse but it won't be the last. Cactus onion blossom was delicious. Then My ribeye steak was cook perfect couldn't eat it all but made for a great breakfast. It was very reasonable price for 6 of us.
