Came in this weekend as a party of 7. There were only a couple of other people inside when we arrived. Server took or order and delivered our drinks. Over the next half hour all drinks were emptied and not refilled and the food took a half hour to come out (I realize this is probably not the server's fault). We did get refills after our order came out but we had to request silverware to eat with.
Everyone who ordered pizzas were very happy with their food. I ordered the Greek Calzone and honestly, I wasn't sure what to make of it. Very confusing flavor combination with a ton of artichokes. The crust was a bit overdone on the outside and still a little raw and doughy on the inside. It was served with Italian marinara sauce instead of any type of Greek sauce. Greek dressing would have made much more sense. The marinara just didn't go with the Greek dish.

Italian pie was always a staple after coming home from N’awlins. Today we waited for an hour to hear excuses of how many to go orders they had but we were in an empty restaurant. Then the food came out under cooked and response was “I will tell the manager”. For over $100 and one of the places we always loved, this was very disappointing. Will skip from now on. 😩

37 minutes to wait for to go food when there wasn’t much happening inside. Your togo girl rather sit against the wine rack on her phone than assist with helping the other person who was working to go.

We have been several times before but the food and service has gone way down recently. Out of 6 of us who ordered all different items only one of us actually ate the food. The rest of the meals were really bad. The waitress also did not do a good job. Not once did she pick up any dishes during our time there. We sat there for almost 20 minutes with food and no silverware. When we would ask for a drink she would bring it for the wrong person.

Place is a scam. I earned enough rewards for what they say is a free cheese pizza. When I redeemed it it actually only covered 12.99 in value. I had to pay 3 dollars and some change still. I had no special requests or toppings or anything. I double checked for any fine print about that and nothing. I will be reporting this to the FTC.
Please don't waste your money here. Been going downhill for years and now they have an absolute lunatic for a manager who will cause a scene and start yelling at customers for requesting completely inedible food be remade or taken off the check? $300 dollars spent but he (manager) threw an absolute tantrum and then claimed mushrooms must have FALLEN ONTO the dish that was supposed to be made with no mushrooms. So you're casually serving cross contaminated food? Completely uncooked pizza. Just overpriced microwave crap at this point.

First of all, the food is very good.
For the past 17 years my family has thought of Italian Pie as a “go to” favorite.
The past six months has seen a decline in service to the point we were tipped over the edge to cut the place from our list.
We sat and the server seemed put off.
We never once got a drink refill.
Enough is enough.

I just (2pm Tuesday) stood by the counter for 10 minutes waiting to place order and not one person asked me if I was being helped until I started to walk out. Only 2 tables were being served. Maybe next time.

Italian Pie is one of my favorite restaurants in Slidell. I love the fact their wings are baked, not fried! They also have a great selection of alternative types of pizzas. The French onion soup will not disappoint you. Head over and see for yourself.
