It took 2 years of living in Slidell to try this gem and I hate that we waited so long. Do yourself a favor and go NOW! Can't wait to go back.

The staff here is not very friendly unless you are one of the regulars. Regulars get told hi and welcome with brief conversation where new customers are ignored and left standing there for long periods of a time without being acknowledged. The layout of the restraunt also makes it difficult to move around to enter or leave. The service is also rather slow. The food was just okay
The staff is super nice. The food is priced well, and it was super good. I had the lasagna, which normally I'm worried about, but they had the perfect mixture of everything. A friend of mine with me had the shrimp and grits, and she said it's one of the best she ever had.

Italian Twist for Brunch ??•We have been wanting to try this spot but have not been in town to go. Well, we did Saturday Brunch and would absolutely come back. Small house looking space, greeted with the bar at the door and seating to the right. I asked how long it’s been open and 26 years! I see why too ?•We got the Benedict, Deluxe Grit Bowl and The Godfather Omelette. These each came with a side of either potatoes or grits. I cannot speak for the potatoes because we all three got grits and they were the best I’ve had. Very creamy, smooth and not dry at all. Each of the dishes were good, but I will say the Godfather was spectacular. It had so many meatballs on the inside, mixed with the cream cheese that I still am not sure what kind is used. The marinara/pasta sauce over the top was very delicious and you can tell homemade ??•Overall very pleasant experience, and we will be back to try their lunch sometime soon. That is something to note as they are not open past 2 o’clock any day from what I could tell.
