Prices of course have gone up everywhere, but like many places the amount you are charged should be better than fair profit and cover the banking charges, but you get charged for eating there if you pay with plastic.

This is a great little place not too far off of I-12. It’s been around for quite a while and serves up hearty servings of excellent food. The atmosphere is “cajun” and very welcoming. Don’t be fooled by the store front entrance, but step inside and give it a try. The prices are superb for the portions. The food is spectacular. You will not be disappointed. It’s a true local gem!!

Stopped into Slidell looking for a place to have lunch. The lady at the airport recommended Vera's.
When we pulled up to the strip mall with more shops FOR rent than rented I made me wonder. "It doesn't look like it, but they have great food. If you get the salad, get the bleu cheese dressing." Ummm, ya, ok.
