We're on vacation and we're headed from New Orleans to Gulf Shores Alabama. We had eaten a few things in Nawlins but this meal at the unassuming Wallfe House might been the best meal of the trip so far! It was awesome diner faire and our server was killing it! The coffee was flowing and she kept us in the ridiculous amount of cream and sweetener we needed. Great folks and great food! Get the cheese grits!!

The food was standard Waffle House food. We were greeted when we walked in (we are an interracial couple). A white family came in after us. The leader that day told our waitress to put in the other family's order before ours. We also didn't get menus until after that other family did. They were not busy. There were more empty booths than occupied ones.
Shannon was awesome! We were there after a parade and they were slammed. She rolled with punches and had a great attitude especially when my husband started joking around with her. Thank you Shannon!
