Amazing family-owned and operated business. Doug takes personal pride in preparing steaks every Thursday night on an outdoor grill. His daughter tends the counter at the wine market bent is well-versed in all things related to liquor wine and beer. The prices are very reasonable and they have an amazing selection the wait staff is very attentive and ensure you are well taken care of when you are dining in the restaurant.
Overall an amazing experience!

Bridget at the Wine Market is the best! Every single soup she serves is absolutely delicious — I haven’t had one I didn’t love. The crawfish pepper jack is a must-try, but honestly, everything on the menu has been a hit. The steaks are excellent, the red beans and fish specials are full of flavor, and the daily specials never disappoint.
Bridget is friendly, helpful, and always makes the experience better. If you’re stopping in, definitely don’t sleep on her soups — they’re some of the best around! Highly recommend!

Every time I’ve been there its a more relaxed atmosphere and I love that about it. Food always been great, do think they are a little pricey for the liquor I’ve bought there but worth it overall.

A great experience. We were in a hotel down the road with an open evening, looking for a convenient place to have dinner and drinks. We ordered a mushroom with crab appetizer which was terrific, and a good bottle of wine. Told the server we wanted to have a leisurely evening, and she took the cue. I had the excellent spinach salad and my wife had the soup special; a crawfish cheddar jack soup that we both enjoyed. The brownie a la mode desert was a great finish. Our only minor complaint was the a/c, which kicked in and almost froze us out. Well worth an evening in Slidell.

Great service, very attentive but not overbearing. Food is tasty, did not exceed my expectations but it was solid. For some reason i thought brussel sprout salad will be warm. I was wrong. It was still delicious, i added pork and fried plantains. I ordered their churros too, those were great as well. Ambiance is relaxing and casual, at least at 3pm. They had their social media team recording some videos so it was entertaining. Overall good place, not sure if i would necessarily go back but experience was good but it did not blow me out of water.
P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I’ll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that.

The food here is actually pretty good. It was the little things that annoyed me here. It took a long time to get our food, and the place was basically empty when we came. They only had diet Coke and Sprite for soda options, no regular Coke. The ceviche wasn’t cut up into small chunks like it usually is, and the bigger chunks were less manageable. My carnitas tacos were not actually served to me in taco format, they just gave me the ingredients on a plate. I had to shred the meat and assemble the taco myself. Maybe the “deconstructed” thing is trendy, but if I wanted to do the manual labor of making my own taco, I would’ve just gone to a grocery store. The water glasses are also annoyingly small, so you’re either asking for a refill every 5 seconds, or your mouth is burning from spicy tacos with no beverage to reduce the burn. TLDR, food is good but experience is annoying

I know you probably did not come to NOLA to eat Mexican food, but you should really try Mister Oso! While all of the food was wonderful, the queso with crawfish chorizo and churros with avocado ice cream deserve special mention. Service was efficient and friendly. Highly recommended!

So initially I was pretty turned off by the high prices for tacos, but it is totally worth it. Our group each got a different taco and everyone loved it. The queso was great too. Highly recommend the big mixed drink for 50 dollars to serve 4. Great value and tastes wonderful.

Excellent, very delicious tacos!! Very good service, fresh atmosphere and good view of the street.
Went on a Tuesday arrived before 6p. Rest of my group arrive closer to 6p. The food took nearly an hour for a few tacos and grilled shrimp for my kid. At the time the place had less than 4 tables occupied. We ordered happy hour items, then at 6p ordered entrees. Took nearly 50mins for 3 taco plates and grilled shrimp to be made and delivered. The server had the audacity to blame the kitchen. Find that unbelievable since none of the other tops had food orders being delivered. I recommend Taco Cartel.
