Coffee good. Service good.
I felt like this restaurant and the Cajun village has a lot of potential and the work force to make it a special place. However our quick stop at the coffee house showed it’s not holding itself high.
It was very slow late afternoon and they were only serving drinks and beignets. 17.50 out the door for cafe de monde box mix beignets and this mornings cafe au lait stirring like gas station hot dogs. Service was quick and fairly kind, and the dining area fit in with the Cajun vibe. After only a few minutes in though, I was greeted with a lot of yelling from the manager who was very unhappy with the employees lack of work ethic and attentiveness. Going as far as mocking one childishly making myself and two other costumers very uncomfortable. I left soon after and wouldn’t recommend the trip out there.
With the right leadership, I feel like the team would feel more confident in their skills and enthusiastic to do their best.

This Coffee House is located on the circle intersection (round-a-bout) as part of Cajun Village. It’s located in an older hard wood floor Acadian style building. I’d say they’re better known for their beignets versus the coffee. As the menus show, they have some really good food selections too. We love this place.
Parking: On Saturdays during peak times, parking may mean scarce. Off peak times, we always find parking.

Classic southern food and sweet tea at the heart of the Cajun Village. If you want to experience southern comfort food and culture, this is your stop.
Right in the heart of plantation country, this is situated next to the interstate and 30 minutes from major plantation venues. Several local shops located around it filled with different treasures, Louisiana memorabilia, and Cajun themed items.
There is plenty of parking, and there is a nice pavilion to the side for sitting and enjoying a moment outside.

Breakfast with alligators! Everything is good, but I suggest the beignets and cafe au lait. It was the perfect reststop between Houston and Biloxi. We stopped going to and coming from Biloxi! I enjoyed the shopping too. ?

Stumbled across this place, service was excellent. The coffee dark roast was fantastic. For lunch we had the gumbo with chicken and andouille. The hamburger was cooked to perfection and for dessert we had the raspberry filled beignets
Parking: Several parking spots between the multiple structures on the property
Kid-friendliness: They had kid-friendly food items and high chairs

My 3 yr old found a hair in her beignets today! I called myself trying to be discreet by whispering and maybe just asking for another batch but because I misspoke about the COLOR of the thread of hair I was met with rudeness. Clerk responded with “we don’t have anybody here with blonde hair”
Had the response been different and way more sympathetic, I probably wouldn’t even be typing this review. Kids should not be allowed to handle restaurant issues/mishaps.
Regardless of what the actual color of the ashy strain of hair was, common sense would tell a person it didn’t belong to me or my family who are full blooded African Americans with kinky curly brown hair. We certainly didn’t carry an ashy straight piece of hair to a beignet establishment to let my 3 yr old get to it if that was the thought. Absolutely disheartening to have been treated this way in an establishment we frequent with family. We won’t be back or referring my out of town guest to this place anymore.
Loved the beignet's and the atmosphere was so fun. Totally worth stopping in on my trip.

Menus are not accurate. They only serve beignets not lunch or breakfast.
Glad we found this spot for breakfast today. Everything was delicious. I’m from Texas and went to New Orleans and was disappointed I didn’t find tasty beignets. Thankfully, I was able to have the best beignets I’ve ever had here at the coffee house!
P.s the cashier/server this morning with black hair deserves a raise! As busy at it was today, the service was very efficient!!
Also, it was a nice little adventure to be able to see some live gators in the pond ?
