I recently discovered Navarre's Famous King Cakes in Springfield. I like king cakes but generally find the fruit filled ones too sweet and the plain cinnamon ones too dry. But I LOVE cream cheese. So I tried a cream cheese filled cake (no fruit filling). It was the best king cake I've ever eaten-moist dough and not too sweet! We arrived at Navarre's around 930am from Baton Rouge, and there were no king cakes available at the moment but the gentleman in the back had a few coming out, so we got the strawberry and cream cheese and it was DELICIOUS. We also had some glazed donuts and an apple fritter and they were DELICIOUS as well. The young lady at the register was very friendly and accommodating, everyone was very friendly. This is the best King Cake I've ever eaten. Keep up the amazing work.

People go CRAZY for the kingcakes. They were good, but the donuts were amazing. Made me consider changing my profession and moving out to Springfield for a job. My husband had the egg, sausage biscuit and said definitely homemade. Worth the drive
