Navarre's Pastries Reviews
The best King cake ever....First time trying it. Had the praline peacan. it's a must try. Worth every penny.
Always look forward to Mardi Gras time because that means King Cakes are out. For years I have always told anyone that would listen about Navarre's King Cakes being the best I have ever had..
Except this year something happen. The first one was over the top as usual but the one we bought yesterday was a big disappointment. Something has changed! Navarre’s Pastries has a wonderfully cozy and family-owned atmosphere. The service is extremely courteous and friendly, and the establishment is clean. The breakfast and baked goods are delicious. The king cakes are a highlight, described as heavenly, to die for, and simply the best. The cream cheese filled king cake and strawberry cream cheese one are popular, with a texture like donut dough, not hard bread. The Bavarian Cream king cake is also amazing. The icing is superb, and the cakes are very moist. Pickled quail eggs are pretty scrumptious. Some reviews mention the plain king cake is now $24, up from $20, and a recent batch was a little drier with different icing, causing disappointment. However, most experiences are a "WOW" product. If in Springfield, it is a somewhere you ought to stop. Parking is abundant.
