Great food at an affordable price and extremely friendly servers

I have been very critical of Cracker Barrel in past couple of years, but this store surprised me. I always love the country store part, but this time, the service was phenomenal. Gracie is a rock star! Most importantly, the food was really good! This is the first time at Cracker Barrel I've had eggs that actually had flavor. They were so good! The pancakes really were good and I was impressed. I will go back to this Cracker Barrel.

We got there st 6:30 pm and they were already out of the day's special, turkey and dressing, which was the reason we went to Cracker Barrel. We settled for the Maple Bacon Glazed Chicken, which we have had other times. It was nothing like we anticipated-no glaze, just dry chicken with two pieces of bacon on top. Thank goodness for the cornbread and biscuits and attentive waitress. It saved the visit from being a complete disaster.

Was served how they wanted to and what they wanted versus what I actually ordered and this attitude carried over to my to go order as well. Was not able to get assistance to get a huge discount I had available which would have made this horrible trip here worth it. The gift shop used to be nice to walk and look around with music and workers ready to help if intrigued into by something but they avoid you unless you grab their attention. So I was served barely warm grilled fish versus the fry. I was told my food was on the way in a way to shoot down my request for more biscuits. I had only had two so far. I remember when you didn’t have to ask. They used to practically be thrown at you. My too go meals were frozen with the wrong sides according to label and what I asked for. When saying something the waitress wanted to argue then realized iI was right then still proceeded to want me to wait on a third order that I wasn’t going to wait on any longer. This is super short version of everything. Also come to find out frozen $5meals are saltier tasting than a grocery frozen dinner to me and 3tiny spoon portions of Mac and cheese is all it contains the rest was liquid watery cheese. Not any more appealing when heated. If you choose the grilled chicken which I was given instead of what I choose the thing is like a floppy disc of rubber. The meatloaf have me thinking someone grinded rubbery steak gristle and seasoned to look like ground beef with ketchup and salt. If I had come on the day I had another waitstaff like the one I had a few days later darn this review would be so different. But my waitstaff just didn’t seem to give a darn and I don’t care to let one good one bring a good score home for the team. Someone hired that server who gave me crap service and the food wasn’t the best so like I also noticed the young lady who sits people and hands out menus didn’t wash her hands or use hand sanitizer after bathroom visit. Just saying the low score is a team effort. The cashier could have done more to apply my awesome big discount I had coming from my email. Less and less locations I will be stopping at. Took me for a lot. Not for the future customers , don’t just lay food that’s those’d to go trays so tacky like on table like here you can go now attitude.

Ethan was our server. He was super sweet but obviously a newbie at serving. Poor thing burnt his arm on a plate but played it so cool. I hope he's recovered from that. Ask for Ethan if you go and tip him well!

We wete a party of four who visited on Thursday morning for breakfast. We were promptly seated. Our waitress was very friendly and prompt.

Several people ordered pancakes. They were very hard. The hash brown tots tasted a bit sour.

Seeing a trend in less than appetizing food from this chain.

This is the second time we come here and have left disappointed. Today was the worst, 12 people in our group it took us 30 mins. To sit down (to be expected) but service was slow didn’t even get our waters or drinks right away. I don’t know if they lost our ticket or our food got sent elsewhere but it took us 2 hours to get our food. Incomplete not together they kept giving us the runaround. We will never return to this place

1 star turned 4 thanks to manager. Server was already having a bad day then lost the ticket. We waited over an hour for food and still a lot of it came out wrong or not hot. Knew going in that there would be a long wait so we had prepared for that and didn’t ask how much longer till we saw people come and go before we got our food. Manager made it right in the end.

My grandson & I went ate breakfast 5/10/25. It was his first time eating there. We both highly enjoyed our breakfast & our waitress did a fantastic job. Reese Trahan

Arrived at Cracker Barrel in Sulphur at 9:29 PM. They said they were closed website says they close at 10 on the door. It said they closed it and I thought I saw 10 although it’s so dark up there they don’t have enough lighting so which is it sounds to me like this restaurant does not want patron to visit

We usually love to go to Cracker Barrel, but this time the experience was not good! It took over 1 1/2 hours to get food and had to end up taking it with us. Then it was cold!

Soooo disappointed in this location. Visited twice on different days while on my trip in the area. The servers were ok. But the food, served with poor presentation. Even the chicken and dumplings were cold with barely any chicken in it.

Avoid this place! No drinks available because of boil advisory. Instead of letting people know this, they have you wait 35 minutes to be seated and then tell you no tea, coke, etc., with limited choices for drinks. So I bought a soda from their shelf, after I ordered a sprite that had no carbonation . Manager blamed that on Sam’s Club, because it supposedly was from a can they purchased there. Horrible service and the food was the absolute worst. There were 5 of us and various items from each plate were terrible. Carrots undercooked, greens were bland, beans were dry and did not taste good, mashed potatoes were runny and tasted awful, Mac and cheese runny, french toast bland and rubbery, eggs were dry, cornbread came out and wasn’t cooked in the middle, and there were no biscuits. Struck up a conversation with the table beside us about our mutual disgust with the food and manager heard. He comped theirs and offered them a pie to take home. Just saw two other reviews recently complaining about their experience. Wish I had looked at reviews first, but I had been there about a year ago and it was good. Waffle House is close probably a better option until they fix management.
