We stopped here on our way to MSY after our tour of the Whitney Plantation. The beignets were delicious and the espresso was exactly as expected. We sat inside, as it was very hot out and had a nice chat with the staff to kill time before our flight. Keep an eye out as it is very easy to miss the turn while driving!

So much history in this beautiful Louisiana cafe. The beignets are a must have. Fruit smoothie was thick and full of fruit flavor. I enjoyed walking around the shop looking at the photos on the wall.

Great beignets and coffee from a family business in cute little house. By Whitney Plantation. Fee-Fo-Lay is apparently a magical fairy creature who glows in the swamp...

Delicious beignets! They're the best I've had. Also, there is a really cute pathway filled with local folklore under the big, beautiful oak out front that really makes it a magical place worthy of seeing. I highly recommend.

These beignets were TOP NOTCH! We had just come from New Orleans, but these were our favorite we’d had on our whole trip. The staff was so nice and we loved reading the stories in front of the building about the family.

This ended up being one of the best random and surprising highlights of our whole trip to New Orleans. The beignets are the best around, and the coffee is unbelievable! A lot of care is also put into the history and folklore of the area the cafe is in, complete with a history walk and beautiful outdoor seating. If I lived in the area, I would go there all the time! Perfect stop if you're planning on visiting the Whitney, Oak Alley, or Laura plantations.

Please, please visit Fee-Fo-Lay Cafe before or after your visit to Whitney Museum just next door to meet the amazing Banner sisters, Joe and Joy, who share their family lore, wisdom, and goshdarn mouthwatering recipes that come with the love of the generations. Best beignet, best T-Cakes, best coffee frappes, and best vibrations. Do not miss!!

We visited the Fee-Fo-Lay cafe on January 23 2020 after a visit to the Whitney. The cafe is immaculate and the beignets, coffee and pralines are just lovely but best of all was having the chance to talk to Joy. She talked about her family’s history in the area and, being from a very small town in Canada, we appreciated her commitment to her own area. Together with the Whitney, this is a stop not to be missed. We hated to leave.

These beignets are made the way it's supposed to be. Period! Sweet ladies and awesome coffee and tea. What a cute place.

The cutest little coffee and beignet shop! Must do especially if you’re already in the area for the Whitney Plantation. Love to support local and black-owned businesses! Everything was so delicious and a great price, and open during the pandemic. Everything was open air so was all very safe.

Better Beignets than cafe Du Monde. Cheap, polite staff, relaxed, beautiful Oak tree in the outdoor seating area.

We had a wonderful experience at this adorable cafe. The beignets were awesome better than the ones at Cafe du Monde. They were served hot with lots of powdered sugar. They weren’t as dense as other beignets we have had. Delicious! The T-cakes were to die for. They are homemade by the owner Jo Banner. But the real gem of this cafe is Jo. She was so friendly and helpful. We were on our way to visit the Whitney Plantation. She told us stories of her great grandma who was a slave on the Whitney Plantation. She told us about starting the cafe and her twin sister that works at the Planation now. She really made our day. Thanks Jo.

Stopped at this adorable little spot on my way to New Orleans and had a wonderful time! The beignets are fantastic and the tea cookies were delicious! They have a large tree in the front of the property which provides great shade over the outdoor seating and makes for a perfect picnic area. The owners, two twin sisters, were so friendly and welcoming - I really enjoyed chatting with them. I don't live very close to the cafe, but I will be coming back - it's definitely worth the drive!!

Found a hidden gem in this quaint coffee/sweet shop! Outside seating under majestic oaks with a nice breeze from the river adds to the charm of the place. The frappes are great and these beignets are so light and airy that you forget about calories!! The pralines melt in your mouth and the tea cookies bring back wonderful memories of days gone by. You will not be disappointed in your visit!
