We’re traveling from Utah and looking for a local place to eat. Vannah’s Drive In is awesome. We drove by a saw it was busy and knew it had to be a good place to eat. Service was excellent. Had a Jr Big Boy and a Po’Boy. Both had HomeFries.

The good is that it's a very good home made burger. Extremely large portions for price. The Cajun battered fries were good. Drinks are ok, they just carry Pepsi products,and tea.Food came out quicker than I thought for the crowd inside. To everyones credit the staff was hustling.
The not so good. The interior of the restaurant seating is extremely limited. The interior is in a questionable condition. Everything is extremely old , I am assuming it's clean enough, but it's so old and run down it's a big assumption. They opened the supply room closet and let's just say it gave me pause with the look I got.
I realize this place is extremely old. I ate there in the mid 70s. It doesn't appear to have been updated and freshened up since then. It just needs some work, and expansion for seating if possible. They are undoubtedly making enough money to put some back in to the facility.
Sum up, burger and fries/service were above average, the condition of the place over all is not endearing, it frankly needs some major work IMO.
I doubt we would go back unless we get a to go order. The tight quarters and condition makes for a less than enjoyable experience.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The burgers are superior. The fries, from what I can gather, are cut and battered in house. And the sauce is just icing on the cake! All three of those things together make for the best burger deal in West Monroe. One thing to note: you best come with a good appetite as the portions are very filling. I got a double burger meal and had to take half of it home. The pricing is right on par with the big name burger chains but the quality FAR SURPASSES all of them.
If I recommend a good burger joint to anyone, this is the first one I tell them about.
