Great American Cookies

Apparently there aren’t any Great American Cookie locations in Utah, because whenever our Utah family comes to visit, we make plenty of trips to the Zachary location. During their most recent visit, we purchased FOUR rectangular cookie cakes over the course of their 1 week stay.

We generally prefer an average amount of icing on our cookie cakes—as I imagine most people do. When I picked up this particular cake and peeked inside the box, I noticed the text wasn’t centered leaving large open spaces - making the cake look unfinished. I asked if they could add a little more icing to balance it out, but surprisingly, none of the three employees at the counter were able to help because there was no “decorator” there to do it. If I’m being honest, it didn’t look like a “decorator” did it to begin with unless perhaps they had their eyes closed.

I found this disappointing. At $50+ per cake, I would expect a little more attention to detail and pride in presentation, especially since adding a few extra icing swirls doesn’t seem like something that should require special training. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve had a similar experience at this location.

The convenience of this store keeps me coming back, but I really hope the staff and management will put more care into the decorating process. A cookie cake should feel festive and finished when presented to a customer—especially when it’s the highlight of a family gathering.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Rude staff, always seems like ordering ice cream at an ice cream shop is a disservice for them. And then most times, the teenagers working would rather flirt with each other than help customers. Whoever owns this location should be ashamed of the lack of work ethic they allow to fester here.

Went at 6:00pm, mind you they close at 9:00pm and they barley had any cookies and of course got attitude from the workers cause why would I ask a cookie shop worker if they’re going to be making more cookies? Will not be returning.

Staff was friendly to my kiddos although he was having a fit for a cake out the freezer. They laughing with each other when we walked in which tells me that it’s a welcoming environment & they greeted me and put me”the customer” as the priority when they noticed me which is rare for young adults/teens to take their job serious. Also it was stormy so I thought they would have attitudes to have people coming for treats during bad weather

Would highly not recommend. We ordered online so that we would not have to deal with the rude employees. An hour later went to go pickup our order and it was not ready. Instead, had to sit there and receive dirty looks and attitude from the employees. We won't be back. I'll take the long drive to the other location.

Wishing I would’ve asked for his name, but the person working this afternoon was so patient, so precious, and so accommodating with my kids who could not make up their minds. Made our visit even sweeter and more special.💕

Five time over the course of a month I have tried to get milk shakes and it’s always the same excuse “We are out of shake mix”. That has to be the stupidest excuse you can come up with in a creamery!! Will definitely not ever go back.

I have gone in 3 days in a row to get just a freaking slice of cookie cake and they have not had it once. Customer service is AWEFUL when I asked when they will have them I was given a shoulder shrug and a mumbled idk. They are zero help. Yesterday when I asked they young lady and man working just laughed didn’t even answer. I truly don’t even know why I have wasted my time stopping multiple times just to deal with disrespectful teenagers. At this point I don’t under Why local businesses keep hiring inadequate teenaged who have serious attitude problems.

Poor customer service. Asked to not have my ice cream and toppings mixed in. The young lady that fixed my ice cream barely provided any toppings and had an attitude and did not desire to fix my ice cream to my liking. I will definitely avoid this location in the future.

They be good but lazy workers close ealry almost every day or certain days like this on 02/01/22 I took my time out to do this cuz it happen to many times and I think if you say you open to a certain time you should be open til that time. Thanks
