PJ’s coffee operates a handful of coffee shops in the South, from Texas east to the panhandle. The location I had a chance to experience happens to be in the quiet town of Zachary, LA about 30min outside of Baton Rouge.
The service at PJ’s was surprisingly good considering they appeared to be short staffed given the volume of drive up orders.
I ordered my usual cappuccino, in a mug, slightly dry. I’ll pause there, as this was the moment any redeeming quality was lost. The coffee at that point forward was fast food quality. Place the paper cup, hit the button that reads cappuccino and move to the next order.
If you happen to be in the area. I suggest you stop at the St Francisville Inn, or the pizza joint that also operates a fantastic speak easy serving delicious cocktails. As for a coffee break, I suggest you keep on driving.

Our batista was on his first day of work. He was patient with him self and took our orders at a speed where he could comfortably learn the system was it the fastest service? No. But he really took his time (not a long tome by any means ) to get our orders correct and also made them correctly. My coffee was delicious and my muffin was fresh and warm ! They are doing a great job at fostering a great work environment. Recommend stopping in and befriending your batista!

PJ'S in Zachary is definitely one of my go too places for Matcha lattes. They are consistently good and service is always quick and friendly. Their breakfast options are all delicious and I especially love their chocolate chip muffins. One of the best in Zachary.

This is a hidden gem in the town and looking generally, but don't get misled by it outside look. This place is wow ! They have oat milk, which is perfect for lactose intolerant individuals like myself. The honey bee lavender coffee with oat milk is so delightful 😋 💖 😍 that was excellent choice, and they have lovely fresh cakes to choose from. Everything is super clean and neat here. And that two ladies behind the till are angels, welcoming, smiling, happy to help and advise. THANK YOU SO MUCH !

OMG!! First time at a PJ’s and dare I say it??? BETTER THEN Starbucks!!! Yep!!! So glad we stopped by and I am already planning to go back tomorrow while we are here in town visiting. The Chai Latte was so good and the egg white bites delicious!! I want more!! Thanks PJ’s!!!
