First off arrived at restaurant and your liquor license had expired. We heard the food was really good so we stayed and ordered. The waitress was slow. Forgot our salads. Never refilled our water or tea. The food was actually very good. Kudos to the kitchen. As we were finally enjoying our food we noticed there were people drinking beer. After we were told no liquor. It seemed as though certain tables were able to get beer... What the heck.!!! Sammy's. I would have given no stars... but the one star was for the food!

A wonderful meal at Zachary! We were a party of 14. Got seated quickly. Our waitress, Ashley was outstanding!!!! Don't find many like her. We made sure her manager knew.

So my dad and I went here on 4/15/19 and his experience was not the best. He ordered the sautéed shrimp and boiled potatoes and corn on the side. The potatoes were way over cooked and he even tried them against his better judgment and they were nasty. So he asked for just a baked potato and it was over cooked as well! So then he tries the shrimp and it tastes bad so he decides to give it another try with cocktail sauce and it even taste bad! So at this point he asks to speak to the manager and do you know the manager tells him "it must be your taste buds"! What happened to the customer is always right? She offers him half off but is adamant that his taste buds are just off. So at this point he is just annoyed and says he will just pay for it all but not planning on going back but the server only lets him pay for half. But all in all this was a very unpleasant visit.

Waited 20 minutes to have waitress come get out drink order. And then she asked if we were ready to order our food before even asking our drink order. Waited another 15 minutes for drinks to get back to our table. Order fried pickles and waited 30 minutes. Waitress doesn't even look like she wants to deal with the public.

Will never go back food cold service sucked was rushed throughout our whole time there. when talked to manager all she did was say I'll check the camera then our bill which was 37 dollars and change. Management ran our card for 63 dollars and change and then ran off before we can say something then when we ask for her back she sends out the kitchen manager horrible place do not recommend at all

The food and service was awesome. Our waitress Kaitlyn at the Zachary location did a great job! She was friendly, attentive, and quick. I had fried fish and bbq shrimps. It was sooooo good! My fiancee had fried shrimps and oysters and he really enjoyed it. We'll definitely come back soon!

Went to my friend's retirement party. His family reserved a banquet room and everything went off without a hitch, even used digital devices for a great effect.

Went to Sammy's tonight for a birthday celebration and was so disappointed with the quality of food and service. Been several times over the years and have never had an experience as wholly disappointing as this. Our server was polite, but that wasn't enough to compensate for the unacceptable lack of preparedness of the establishment, slow service (didn't have clean utensils and had to wait after food was served until there were finally some available, poor food quality (undercooked seafood, incorrect orders), and wait time. We had a party of six adults and two children. We ordered two appetizers, and each had entrees. There was a problem with all but one of the orders. Although it was a birthday celebration, we weren't even offered the option of dessert. As a long time customer I'm questioning what has happened to Sammy's. No one in our party has ever experienced anything like this in all the years we've been patrons. It was shockingly bad. We will definitely not be going back, especially for a special event.

Oh my, this place is amazing. We started with the fried eggplant, then the seafood gumbo. My uncle, who is very critical about his gumbo, ordered a whole bowl and some to go. I got the scalloped seafood dish...it was great. I was so full, I wish I could have ordered more to take home. This is the best place in the area for seafood.
The food was absolutely delicious, but the strawberry margarita was loaded with alcohol. It was tasty but just a bit too much alcohol. The staff was very attentive. It was busy but the atmosphere was very pleasant. I'm very much fan of this restaurant.

I live out of state now, but I come back every few months. I've been eating at the Sammy's in Zachary since they were by Ambrosia, on the opposite corner from where they are now. The last two times, in April and just tonight, 6/1/18, have been a huge disappointment. Both the quality of service and the food has declined dramatically. I always get either the prime rib poboy or the chicken parmesan, and I could not be more disappointed in how it is prepared now. In April I got a prime rib poboy, and they couldn't even bother cutting it in half like it has always been presented every single other time I've had one there over the years. There was hardly any meat on it, and it was just not up to the level it had been before. Tonight, I got the chicken parm, and it was bland and not well prepared. There wasn't enough sauce on the pasta, and the cheese on the chicken was under done. The garlic toast was bland, while the marinara sauce tasted old and not the least bit fresh. The service was terrible. I sat at the bar, and not once did my server bother to refill my drink or even inquire about my entree or if I needed anything else. I don't think I'll be going back again, and that's a crying shame.

I speak for our group of 13 when I say we were absolutely satisfied with our expierence, the food portions, quality and prices were worth the 10 Hour drive from Dalton, Georgia. Honestly we were already here on a mission project at Angola prison. Our waiting time for seating and service was unusually quick for such a large group. But my personal favorite was our delightful, courteous, gracious and tolerant waitress, Leslie. Her smile, demeaner and efficiency deserves 6 stars. We will be back next year and hopefully she will still be here.
