The Jambalaya Shoppe - Zachary

The look in your eyes when we arrived and you served us says it all. It hurts you to have to serve black customers. You can't hide what's in your heart and mind. The City of Zachary is changing and if you can't deal with it hire people whose mind set matches the times. The jambalaya was amazing just wish it was served with respect and love.

I am so disappointed at this lunch. I’ve never had such a pathetic lunch in my life. I order the fish Poboy they came on a hot dog bun with one strip a fish and no taste. Jambalaya Shoppe Zachary do better. This was a waste of my time, and my money my hard earned money, never again, never again.

Dietary restrictions: Small portions.

Not sure why this place is still open, seems like 2.5hrs before closing they always run out of food that subpar!

Good not like I remember it but good. But the banana pudding was on point!!

Today marks the second time I've been here and each time I've been unhappy. Today was the worst. I ordered a small red bean with rice. Well, I got beans that did not taste "fresh" with no rice. No napkins or utensils were given. I didn't have time to go back which means I was stuck with the order.

In all the years this place has been opened, I have never tried it till today. I can see I wasn't missing anything. After reading other reviews (some years ago) I can see the same compliments that I have for today. How sad that owner/ management hasn't tried to fix anything. It did concern me the lack of customers while walking in the door and it didn't take long to understand why. While most of the food was eatable ( except the gumbo I trashed the whole bowl), the customer service was lacking even while my husband and I were trying to engage the people working. There are better places to choose from in Zachary, I assure you!

Definitely need to work on customer service and food quantity. When a guest gives you two or more hours to make a Togo order and they are told sorry we are out and not making anymore today. It’s 3:00 in the afternoon and I wanted it for 6:00. Chances are you will never see those guest again.

The food was amazing! So good in fact, I order some “Togo” for dinner. The lady was so nice I ended up calling the next day and ordering for my works Christmas party.

Moved here from NY. Heard of Jambalaya and wanted to try it. Went in and tried the Pastalaya instead, it was awesome. Nice little spice to it, the sausage and chicken was just right. We now have one more place to eat!

Moved away from the area and during a recent visit craved Jambalaya Shope's meal. Never had the Gumbo before but ordered the Combo 2 with Jambalaya, Gumbo amd rice and 2 sides (white beans and potato salad) and a roll. Ate half and was completely full. Jambalaya was as delicious as I remember but the surprise was the Gumbo. Awesome. May have to go back again before we depart. Pick up service was fast and easy.

I ordered a jambalaya bowl for lunch I got 3 pieces of sausage and the rest rice for 8 bucks that's worthless
