They keep bragging about homemade ice cream, and sure it tastes good, but, it's just a mix that they add flavorings to. It's like buying a grocery store cake mix with canned frosting, and telling people you made it from scratch...not the same as buying high quality ingredients and following a recipe. Too many chemicals and artificial ingredients...gives me a stomach ache every time. :/ I really wanted to like it, but, it's not worth feeling sick for an entire day afterward.

Delicious but taking away one star for portion sizes. Ridiculously small especially for the price.

Only in New England would there be a line out the door for ice cream on a 20 degree day in February! I can't imagine how busy this place would get in the summer. Acushnet Creamery seems to be super popular and for good reason! I had a delicious large ice cream sundae with hot fudge, whipped cream, sprinkles, and two scoops of peanut butter oreo ice cream! I also got a hand-packed pint of strawberry cheesecake ice cream to take home. The prices are totally reasonable, my total was less than $17 with tip for the super friendly and efficient kids working here! The ice cream is somewhere in the middle of the spectrum from dense/creamy to light/fluffy.Would definitely recommend no matter the weather!

I love ice cream and this place did not disappoint! I was afraid that we wouldn't find good homemade ice cream in the February, but thankfully Acushnet was open! And busy! The line was long but the staff were working hard to make it go as quickly as possible. It gave us some time to pick flavors, which wasn't easy, because so many of them sounded so good! We loved what we had (pictured) and would definitely go back again!

It's mid January. The holidays are over, things are back to normal and the days are cold and boring. But because we live in MA, two days after a raging snow storm it decides to be 50°. The need for ice cream is at an all time high. No place is open.. except Acushnet Creamery, of course! The two young men at the counter were super chill and professional when my 3 year old tried to explain what kind of ice cream he wanted. Everyone was happy and now 3 days later it's going to snow again. Good thing I got my ice cream!Kid-friendliness: They like the cow statues. And the ice cream of course.
