I love ice cream and this place did not disappoint! I was afraid that we wouldn't find good homemade ice cream in the February, but thankfully Acushnet was open! And busy! The line was long but the staff were working hard to make it go as quickly as possible. It gave us some time to pick flavors, which wasn't easy, because so many of them sounded so good! We loved what we had (pictured) and would definitely go back again!
It's mid January. The holidays are over, things are back to normal and the days are cold and boring. But because we live in MA, two days after a raging snow storm it decides to be 50°. The need for ice cream is at an all time high. No place is open.. except Acushnet Creamery, of course!The two young men at the counter were super chill and professional when my 3 year old tried to explain what kind of ice cream he wanted. Only in New England would there be a line out the door for ice cream on a 20 degree day in February! I can't imagine how busy this place would get in the summer. Acushnet Creamery seems to be super popular and for good reason! I had a delicious large ice cream sundae with hot fudge, whipped cream, sprinkles, and two scoops of peanut butter oreo ice cream!
