The food was delicious and generously portioned. The restaurant gave me a quiet sense of warmth, bringing back memories of my time in Shin-Ōkubo long ago.

If you’re craving authentic Korean comfort food in Boston, Seoul Soulongtang in Allston is hands down the place to go. Their signature Soulongtang — a traditional ox bone soup — is deeply satisfying, especially on a cold day or when you just need something hearty and restorative.

My favorite is the classic Soulongtang with brisket and noodles. The broth is rich, milky, and full of umami from hours of slow simmering. I love how they serve it unseasoned, so you can adjust the flavor with the salt, pepper, and chopped scallions on the side — just like they do in Korea. The brisket is tender and flavorful, while the glass noodles have a perfect chewy texture.

Beyond the soup, the banchan here is excellent, especially the house-made kimchi and radish kimchi. They’re fresh, well-fermented, and they complement the mildness of the broth beautifully.

The restaurant itself is cozy and clean with a casual vibe, and the service is consistently quick and friendly. Whether you’re dining solo or with friends, it’s a great spot for an affordable, comforting meal.

If you’ve never had Soulongtang before, Seoul Soulongtang Boston is the perfect place to try it. I always leave feeling full and happy.

Their cold noodles are the best. This place is the only place in Boston area who actually makes good cold noodle. Would go back for the spicy cold noodle and the combo.

I came here on a Saturday night with my gf and overall our experience was great. We had to wait in line because it was full when we got there but the wait wasn't too long. I had ordered the combo which included a cold soup and pork belly and omg it was delicious 😋 . The cold noodle was super refreshing and the pork belly as well. We were given small side dishes in the beginning and they were pretty good. The travel was worth it tbh and we'll definitely be coming back soon!

I love this place. I think that the Soulongtang is very comforting. I like to get the kalbi and soulongtang combo when they have it!

Did an Uber Eats order with the Khalbi Tang, description said comes with flat flour noodles and I received vermicelli noodles instead. Also the side kimchi was stale and has a horrendous expired smell and taste. Overall takeout quality is poor and I would not order again.

DELICIOUS COLD NOODLES! Also an incredibly crispy, decadent and savory kimchi pancake (which comes with seafood). The mul naemyoung had the right amount of sourness while being icy and refreshing.

For a quick Sunday lunch, I decided on Korean soup to shake off the dreary spring weather. Entering at 11:45, I received a table immediately; the establishment had less than one quarter occupancy.

I put in my order for the spicy galbitang ($17.95). Immediately after, the server set the table with side dishesband a bowl of white rice. The five today included cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, fish cake, pickled onion and some other root vegetables, and fried tofu. The cabbage kimchi seemed under fermented.

The galbitang arrived just as I was finishing up the banchan. It was barely spicy, and some of the gochujang hadn't yet dissolved. I found a few paste chunks. The soup also tasted underwhelming, with insufficiently concentrated stock. The beef rib pieces were also sparse with the meat.

This is one of the best Korean places I've been to, and if you're looking for a restaurant to unwind with some Korean pancakes and drinks, this is where you go. I love their radish kimchi and jokbal.

One of the better Korean restaurants in Allston village. This place has been here for over a decade and has maintain high quality of food and service.

Friendly staff with very generous refill of banchan (side dish) and food is great. 4 stars because parking is terribly tough at peak times.

honestly pretty meh overall. nice side dishes to start but I just like fish cakes and tofu. The soup was pretty low on meat and not that interesting texture wise or flavorful. Same with bibimbap was bland and not popping anything worth attention.

Seafood pancake was nice and oily, but it’s pretty easy for that to be good
