Berkshire Dining Commons is one of UMass Amherst's Student Dining Halls, being one of the larger ones in the Southwest Student Area.
Like other dining commons, they utilize a rotational menu of foods from across the world. They serve sushi and stir fry, as well as having rotational noodle soups and other foods as well.
The serving area is a bit confusing, but you get used to it after a while of eating there. It has one main area and a few other areas that are not connected to the main area but still able to be distinct to know it serves food.
Food is pretty good, but many of the options are served at other dining halls as well. They do typically host a few special events here, as well have a private dining hall.

It’s summer and lots of kids at the university for different camps. Rowdy, all over the place. But once they were gone it got back to normal. Many choices of foods from different cultures. Fresh and tasty.
Dietary restrictions: Everything is well labeled with food contents.

The food is good. One star for the fact that the menu doesn't match what's there half the time
Between all umass dining halls, it's the best.

Excellent, freshly made entrees. Diversity of selection is plentiful from Peruvian to Chinese to Italian to Vietnamese to American to Japanese and Korean cuisines. Lobster and steak are available at least once a year. Arguably, the best university dining experience in America.
Between all umass dining halls, it's the best.
