“This is a hidden diamond in the area. Very nice and clean environment. Soup dumplings are highly recommended. Their ingredients are super fresh. Hot and spicy cucumber is my favorite Appetizer. Hu Tong beef, Chengdu Chicken. Every dishes shows chef’s amazing cooking skills.

“I adore Moge! I frequently beg my boyfriend to drive us to Amherst just for their drinks. While I’d give them 5 stars for the drinks alone, I’m leaving 4 because I’ve consistently had strange experiences with the staff, particularly being ignored. I’m a waitress, so I understand how hectic things can get, and I always make sure to leave a nice tip!

Usually, I brush off staff being a little short with me, but my last visit was particularly disappointing. I had ordered 3 drinks and called out to the staff multiple times asking for a drink tray. After getting no response, I figured I could grab one myself since they were within reach. An employee saw and sharply told me to back away to “my side” of the counter before annoyedly asking what I needed. When I explained, she responded, “you need a tray for only 3 drinks?” I said yes, and she handed me a tray before walking away.

I understand I shouldn’t have reached over the counter, but I only did so after being repeatedly ignored. Unfortunately, this wasn’t an isolated experience where they’ve ignored us.

That said, the drinks are genuinely wonderful! My favorites are the iced cheese foam Earl Grey and the avocado drink with strawberry boba!”

“We came in from out of town to celebrate our son's birthday. Not much is open past 9:30pm in Amherst. On Google The Harp says it is open until 11pm. We chose this restaurant because my son worked until 9:30. We order dinner, which was delicious. We overheard a waitress say they were closing at 10pm. She clarified for us that the restaurant closes at 10pm. We were very disappointed because the atmosphere of the restaurant was exactly what we wanted to toast our son.
Overall, the food was delicious and the staff was wonderful.”

“Went here yesterday with my family & ordered over $200 worth of food. (Big eaters) We got a bit of everything, our waitress was super accommodating (3 kids) with explaining what we were ordering, serving size, etc. which if you're a parent you know this is very helpful. Everything was prepared to absolute perfection, looked very appealing, & tasted even better! Ended up ordering a couple Cannonball Sushi's to take home because my God 🤌🏼🔥 IMHO it's reasonably priced for the food/location. SOLID 9/10 Hidden gem status.”

“We had our son's Rehearsal Dinner in the Amherst room on Oct. 23rd. Nothing short of amazing! Appetizers were plentiful and delicious, as was the steak, chicken and shrimp & crab scampi. Our server Karen was one in a million, she was two steps ahead the whole evening and a big part of the success shared by the wedding party. Thank you to all the staff for making it a magical night :)”

“I have been here for their Karaoke night that they do on every Tuesday. It's a nice, little, cozy and cheap hangout place. On Tuesday, it is pretty fun with friends because of their karaoke arrangements. You get to hear all kind of funny voices.”

“Most of the reviews here are pretty old. The food is, generally speaking, decent. Good amount of fruit and vegetables, great dessert, nice salad bar, good selection of drinks. The bean chili is A++, and they’ve had some well-made tofu dishes. Perfectly seasoned and nice texture.

Can’t speak to how good the meat dishes are, but the vegetarian and vegan options are fine. There’s not a ton of variety in a single meal, but day to day the options change a lot. You can also take your food to go which is great, and they handle the composting situation really well.

Dietary restrictions: They pay special care to allergies and separating out food that’s got nuts, gluten, etc.”

“Hands down, Carefree Cakery make the best cupcakes I’ve ever tasted! We have also ordered a couple of birthday cakes for our kiddos, and they too are spectacular. Not too heavy on frosting, and the cake is light and delicious. Our friends always comment on how delicious the cupcakes/cakes are. This week, we ordered a Wicked theme cake for our daughter’s 10th birthday party and it was so beautiful, I thought my kiddo was going to cry with joy when we picked it up!! “One of the best restaurants in Amherst! My partner and I order from here once or twice a week; the food is consistently fresh, hot, and delicious. Everything is seasoned perfectly. The all-day combo is so affordable, with a lot of options. We like the General Tso's Chicken, Mapo Tofu, Beef Teriyaki Skewers, Poached Chicken over Rice, and Crab Rangoons, but you can't miss with anything here. The service is also so sweet and lovely, definitely the highlight of Chef Lau's. Thank you!!”

“Happy to share that Hamp(and the rest of UMass dining) lives up to its reputation as #1 dining. Oftentimes surpasses restaurant quality in most of it's dishes. Hamp is the best DC to me as it has the most seating, and greatest number of options for food and drinks(the food quality is pretty much just as good as any other dining hall on campus). Highly reccomend”

I've only ever had the salmon bagel before but it was so good. I love their lattes, matcha, and I appreciate that they serve the macchiato with sparkling water because many places don't. It's also not very expensive, thankfully. This is my favorite place to go study.”

“Every Thursday is Chicken Tenders Night for the squad. I'm reviewing this on a Monday even though Chicken Tenders Night is on Thursday, that's how much I'm looking forward to Thursday! Nothing beats onion rings and chicken tenders. My friends and I all live in Southwest, but we make the trip to Worcester ever week. We basically walk a mile from our dorms just to get to Worcester! It's our late night ritual.. I recommend always getting honey mustard and blue cheese. Sometimes I tell my friends that I can't talk right now because all I want to do is eat and wait in line for the next batch of chicken.”

Normally each salad costs around ~12 and you need to pay extra for a few things like avocado etc. Overall I think it’s a good deal.”

Don't pay attention to all the low ratings if you're looking for real Chinese food. This is not American Chinese food, and I think that confuses a lot of people around here. I love this place!”
