“I really like their salad bar and that there are lots of veggie/protein/grain options, soups, and desserts. It can get very loud when it is crowded, but when the crowd dies down it is a good place to get a variety of good food and drink. The food servers could be a little friendlier, but the entry ladies and other workers work hard and are really nice. I wish they didn't have as many salad dressings with soybean oil.
Vegetarian options: This is an Eastern private college, so there are many things a vegetarian can eat here, as well as some vegam options.“

“This place is awesome !!! We had our Amherst high school class of 1988 reunion here last weekend. Caleb and his staff, Ava and Katie were absolutely amazing to work with. It didn't matter what the request was they made it happen. Of course the beer was outstandingly delicious and we loved our custom menus for our event. We also had the Hangar brought in and that never disapoints.(yummy)Everyone loved it and we had a great time.Thank you, ABC Tap Room!!!We appreciate you!!Love ARHS 1988“

“I’ve lived in the valley for the past 12 years, and Share has become my favorite coffee shop. Kind staff, a simple but delicious coffee menu with high quality espresso drinks and great in-house pastries. Combine with a light and airy interior and a great patio. So happy to have this here. Some parking behind the shop, about as much as you can hope for in Amherst.“

“Delicious Bolognese with homemade pasta and yummy cocktails (I got what I assume is a seasonal Apple Cider Margarita). Kind staff who worked to accommodate allergies in my party. Highly recommend!
Kid-friendliness: Has a kids menu (Italian place so if your child likes that, they'd probably be fine)“

“Excellent food, excellent staff, in an environs where you and your party can hear one another converse. The Cajun influence is done well, with the spices and seasonings bringing out the flavor of the food rather than overwhelming it (I’m a Louisiana and Mississippi expatriate). Looking forward to coming back. Well worth the trip from and to southeast Vermont.“

“I'd never been here until today, and I was in a soup mood, so I asked one of the great guys working there which was his favorite and he said, "seafood chowder" - and I'm glad I followed his advice. BEST seafood chowder I've EVER had. I also tried the tomato bisque, a bite of grilled cheese sandwich, and a few other bits from items my friends bought...everything was five star delicious. This little place is so worth your while! I live about an hour away, but I'll be back now that a friend introduced me to it.“

“For our family, "Johnny's Bar & Grille" in South Hadley is like the TV show, "Cheers." Because we are regulars, all the waitstaff not only knows our names, but they go out of the way to make us feel like we are truly part of a family--the good side of the family :) They hold the front door open for my elderly (90's) mom and dad and celebrate every birthday lunch with us by bringing flowers to the table, complimentary desserts and sometimes they even get together and sing. The food is consistently outstanding and reasonably priced. The service is among the best I've seen. Above all, the atmosphere is super positive. All the waitstaff seem happy and professional and warm. Again, it's a very family friendly place that our family will return to week after week.“

“Me and my wife love going to this place, we talk to the owner every time we are there and he makes every effort to make the perfect grilled cheese.
I myself love the classic American, and my wife loves pretty much anything on the menu. He has a wide range of items not just grill cheese.
Gets a full 5 stars from us.“
“Can't say enough about The Log Cabin, Delaney House and D. Hotel for my Son and Daughter-in-Law's Wedding. The lodging, rehearsal dinner and wedding exceeded expectations! The venue was absolutely gorgeous, the food was delicious, the service and staff were great!

“I've been going to the Delaney House for over 20 years. The food is excellent. The dress code has evolved over the years into a more casual environment which is better in my opinion because sometimes I just want to enjoy their food without needing to dress up like I'm going to walk the red carpet. When they initially reopened after closing during the pandemic the place was a hot mess. I thought maybe there were new owners. I was nervous that they were doomed to go out of business at that point because the menu was so limited, all the best dishes were missing! Thankfully, they endured, and 2 years later the restaurant is slowly returning to it's former glory albeit their hours are odd and non-competitive with other restaurants. Luckily, the food is still amazing. My only constructive complaints are that they got rid of the baked stuffed shrimp despite it being one of the most requested items from their old menu. Every time I visit the restaurant I ask and I am always told people constantly ask for it but they only offer it on limited holidays now. That's a poor business decision not to carry something that your customers ask for all the time. The tap water they serve has always been chlorinated over the past 20+ years. I don't drink tap water when I'm there but they always provide a glass of water and it's always disgusting. They used to have us fill out surveys at the end of our meals and for many years I told them to put a filter on their water line. I hope they don't cook in that water, it tastes like pool water. They do offer Saratoga bottled water as an alternative but that doesn't change the fact that their tap water is abhorrent. I am glad they brought back whipped butter which is fantastic because for awhile they were only giving cold butter with their popovers which did not spread right so it essentially caused the popover to fall apart as your tried to spread a brick of cold butter on it. For awhile their popovers were half the size that they used to be and they were often burnt. Recently the popovers seem to be cooked perfectly and that's a plus. They will occasionally bring back lobster tails that you can order as an extra side for your meal, they seem to only do this on special occasions which is rather obnoxious considering they used to always offer it on their menu. They got rid of the sorbet that they would serve you between dishes, I was so used to them serving that that I was saddened when they stopped doing it. Reaching the restaurant by phone is a hot mess now. You used to be able to call the restaurant and get someone right away to speak with, I am not of a fan of their new automated system that makes it near impossible to reach someone. They now take reservations through a third party and that's fine but I would rather speak to someone at the restaurant because I like to reserve specific locations to sit when I go there ie: the summit room and or the library. If you go on a busy day you might get stuck in the main dining room and it's too loud in there for me. They have a bar area inside called "The Mick" which has its own separate menu and I always thought that was strange because they use the same kitchen. Back when the manager Colette was there she used to let me get both menus and order some dishes off of both menus. Each menu had great stuff on them. I always thought it was absolutely redudant to have two different menus in the same restaurant and to only allow the customers to order from a particular menu if they sat in a specific area of the restaurant. I've ran businesses for decades, just combine the menus and let the customers have a better variety to choose from. That's another example of a lingering business opportunity for them. Overall, they have made a lot of improvements, the food is consistently professional grade chef cuisine and that is their saving grace and it is why I continue to return. Their customer service is typically always amazing with the exception of the occassional new host t“
“Very happy with old Smith Voc! Majored in Plumbing shop, those teachers are the best! The academic education is very good especially for a tech school. The vocational and tech skills are very useful and teach work ethic through co-op apprenticeships, campus work, habitat-for-humanity work, etc. College is valuable, but it isn’t necessarily for everyone nor does it lead to a career in today’s economy. Trade skills are the way to go and America needs to stop shaming people for“

“We had my son’s 1st birthday party at The Boathouse today. As usual the staff was absolutely amazing and above and beyond accommodating. Erica was an extraordinary server. We had absolutely everything we needed at all times. Drinks at all times, tables constantly cleared and clean and more. Kerri was wonderful to book and coordinate with and helpful every step of the way. The food was so delicious as always. We’re so grateful for the beautiful party we had today! We can’t wait to have future functions at The Boathouse again.“

“The food and variety is good. There's an omelette station along with the other standards for a brunch. The day we visited, they had mini desserts; baby cannoli, cheesecake bites, etc... Not sure if that's the norm for the dessert station but it should be. I love, love, love how charming they've kept it.“

“Service is always fast, and the food is good - my favorite is pulled pork and brisket with coleslaw. There’s not a ton of barbecue out here in Western MA, or southern Hampshire/Vermont and checking out if you’re local and haven’t tried it yet! Easy stop off 91 as well.“

“A group of us stopped here today on our way back to CT, the restaurant was full and we thought we would have to find somewhere else to eat (it was seven of us & a baby). However, they quickly came and put tables together for us. Everything was delicious. We all had a little of everything. A omelet, French toast, burgers, & pancakes. The tater tots were seasoned & delicious! The coffee & chai latte was delicious as well. If you are considering eating here, do it! Your customer service and delicious food was very much appreciated today. Thank you!“

“I quite like the breakfast here. The 'Dad's Paying' is seriously the best thing around. Unfortunately prices were raised but that's to be expected these days. Would be a 5 star if they got the smell of that bathroom area under control. Renders the bar and booths near it useless as it smells horrific at all times. Sometimes it gets so bad it circulates throughout the restaurant. This never used to be the case so hopefully this gets fixed soon...“

“Really good food and a great beer list.
Edit 3 September: we had the pretzel again. This is probably the best pretzel I've ever had. It's hard not to just eat pretzel after pretzel and work my way through the excellent beer list.“
“I just left there after bringing my grandkids for dinner- they loved it! They custom made each of them their favorite ice cream concoctions which came with their kid’s dinner. I enjoyed the BEST strawberry banana milkshake I’ve ever had! I’ll definitely be back!“

“I’ve wanted to eat at the Wurst House since they opened in Northampton. We came at noon on a Saturday and it was quiet. They open at 11:30 on Saturday but during the week, after Monday, they only open at 4:30 pm.
I ate the Texas Wild Boar but I can see why I think they’re mostly a drinking establishment. I ate some of my wife’s pork sausage but as before, I would suggest that even with mustard and green and red chiles, I found the wurst not that tasty.
The atmosphere was nice and festive. The decor and flag decorations reminded me of Oktoberfest. The bar had a lot of seats with backs - but the tables all seemed to be elevated with backless chairs.
The bathrooms were in the basement. They were smallish and each gender accomodated two persons. They were clean but I saw no elevator.“
