“We came here about a week ago for a belated birthday dinner. We have been before and always enjoy the food and service.

This particular evening, our server really stood out. Gabriel was outstanding. Had he not been working, we would have invited him to join us. He was professional but not robotic, great sense of humor, and clearly a dedicated hard worker. We would have enjoyed our time regardless, but we enjoyed ourselves that much more because of our server.“

“Marco Carreira and his team recently catered a lunch buffet for an event that I hosted at my home. They came through for me on a very busy weekend on short notice. The food was still steaming hot when we picked it up, the amount of food included was more than generous, and everyone commented on how delicious everything was. Highly recommend!“

Congratulations to Chef David, who leads the creative endeavors of this excellent establishment, and to the staff, who function like a super bowl, bound team. BTW, try the fried oyster sandwich. My first time eating fried oysters but not the last..... Congratulations to Chef David and staff! (Leave room for dessert. “My dad and I ate here last night before a show at Academy Music. Akasia was our server and we loved her. Our food was the best meal we have ever had together in all of our foodie ventures and we wish it was closer so we could go back. The steak tips were cut in house and resembled filet. The scallops were so good we got a second order. The salad was delicate but really great. My dad got the salmon and he is very picky on salmon, but it was incredible and he was delighted we made the choice to go there. I wish the oysters on the half shell were bigger, but the rest made up for it. My dad is in a wheelchair and everyone was super accommodating. Akasia was on point and knew we had a time crunch and accommodated that and also took some nice photos of us together. Great mock-tails and atmosphere was a 10. Hopefully one day soon we can make it back.“

“We had our son's Rehearsal Dinner in the Amherst room on Oct. 23rd. Nothing short of amazing! Appetizers were plentiful and delicious, as was the steak, chicken and shrimp & crab scampi. Our server Karen was one in a million, she was two steps ahead the whole evening and a big part of the success shared by the wedding party. “My husband and I try to visit the Delaney House at least once a year. We went last night to celebrate our 6 year anniversary. Our server, Cali M, was great. She was experienced enough as a server to know to ask us if we were celebrating anything, and made it that much more special by bringing us complimentary glasses of delicious champagne. She had the perfect balance between checking in on us while not being over-bearing or making us feel rushed. The food, as always, was a 10/10 and we even tried new cocktails which were delicious. One of our favorite spots!“

“Best bagel, egg, cheese and bacon sandwich I ever ate. Great popovers and clam chowder. We stayed at River Valley Inn for 2 days and ate at the Smithsonian Cafe and Chowder House 4x! No need to go anywhere else during our vacation! They also sell a delicious prepared Coffee Milk from Our Family Farm too!“

“Food was good. Fries were not hot but so much else we did not eat them anyway. I did not read the online menu properly the prices were for take out only I did not see that below the listing. I own that it was my fault . They had erased the prices off the board maybe because Saturday night. Prices on the drinks menu were not accurate . We ordered a capacino I expected a small cup as it was priced at $2 on the menu. Was a delicious drink in a glass but was $6. Was told that was old prices but on all the menus. I was charged 6 and was told they could not credit me as the owner was not there. The drink was probably worth 6 but the menu should be correct. My fish was very good. Salad mediocre mainly just lettuce and blue cheese dressing was very bitter. We will probably give it another try. Staff very good. I will ask the prices next time.“

The Culinary Arts Department at the Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School operates a student-run restaurant three days a week, Wednesday through Friday of most weeks, from 10:45 AM to 12:30 PM. The students, under the supervision of three chef instructors, learn every aspect of food preparation and service. There is menu service on Wednesdays and Thursdays and an all you can eat buffet on most Fridays, which is currently priced at only $15.00. The menu changes weekly and is posted online. This is genuinely one of the hidden gems of the Pioneer Valley.“

“I used to go here years ago for lunch all the time, haven't been in for a visit in many years. Stopped in June of 2025, WOW! Waitress provided FAST, POLITE and GREAT service. FOOD WAS AMAZING! Had a blueberry pancake, Iced tea, Eggs, Bacon, Home Fries and Rye toast. Large portions, GREAT TASTE, EXCELLENT prices! I will definitely visit more.“

“We're from Wisconsin and had breakfast March 31 in your restaurant. I wish I could remember our waitress' name, but she was delightful. I had the (canned)corned beef hash omelet and loved it. I've never seen an omelet shaped the way you serve it, but again it was terrific on looks alone! You folks do a marvelous job.“

We were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm, which was just the beginning of a more than exceptional experience. The menu concerned us with its limited options, but alas, the quality of the food offered was by no means disappointing. The char and the fried chicken were outstanding. The service was the best we’ve ever received in our lives (and we go out frequently) , and then there was their chocolate crème brûlée. AMAZING. We highly recommend this lovely restaurant.“
