“My daughter and I had to get dinner and not many places were open on a Monday at 8:30. My daughter found Johnnys and we called to verify we could order and eat there as kitchen closes at 9:00. This was our first time there and it will not be the last time. The waiter was very informative when it came to the food. Told us a lot of the favorites and description of it. We had a hard time deciding and he (Gabriel) brought us a sample of a sauce to taste. Glad he did, it was too spicy for us…. We’re whimps. We ended up ordering the potstickers, sticky ribs and the beef tips with broccoli and garlic noodles. All were outstanding! Yes we brought home left overs (mine were gone when I got home not reheated. OMG!). If you choose not to try them (more for us) but big mistake. It’s our new favorite restaurant and we live at least 30 minutes away.“

“Marco Carreira and his team recently catered a lunch buffet for an event that I hosted at my home. They came through for me on a very busy weekend on short notice. The food was still steaming hot when we picked it up, the amount of food included was more than generous, and everyone commented on how delicious everything was. Highly recommend!“

“I recently went here for the 1st time. The food was good, but the service was not. Our waitress never brought our bill to the table then we saw other customers going to the front to pay without a bill. This is all fine only if you are told that is the way that it works. Then the person working just told me a total price of our check. I told her that I wanted to see the bill. She did give it to me to look at after I asked and it was correct but this isn't how you should be running your business. I also just think that the attitude of our server and the person who cashed us out wad very good. Not good customer service in my opinion. There are many other options in the area for mexican food and I would rather give my business to people who truly appreciate it“

“Of my favorite spots in Amherst is Lili's it is a quick bus ride away from UMASS and it is worth the trip! Two of my favorite dishes are the stewed beef noodle soup and scallion pancakes. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very cozy.“

“We're from Wisconsin and had breakfast March 31 in your restaurant. I wish I could remember our waitress' name, but she was delightful. I had the (canned)corned beef hash omelet and loved it. “I came there with my family. We ordered at the register. You have to get your table and then wait for your food and pick that up and bring it to your table. My sister ordered the pizza a white pie with onions and prosciutto . It was delicious. My sister and I shared a BLT that was loaded with bacon and a big slab a tomato. It was absolutely delicious,The bread was exceptional. My mother ordered a turkey BLT and experienced the same for her sandwich, my father ordered a turkey Reuben and enjoyed every bite. “BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! Love Cana's BBQ !! - This was always my 'go to' restaurant whenever I had guests, but I am afraid it will no longer be the case. We will drive to Amherst/Northampton in future. I recently had relatives from England and we always come to Cana when they are here BUT This time was a huge disappointment. We ordered the BBQ only to find out that their selection of sides had been reduced from 10 to 5. Even the broccoli was reduced to 2 very small pieces. How are you going to split that between 4 people? The other 5 sides which were usually included, are now available for additional cost. Their prices are not cheap to start with, but we have not complained because the food is really good, but to spoil one's reputation for the sake of a few cents to add a few more pieces of broccoli, or a full selection of sides for a party of four, is certainly not the way to increase your bottom line because now you have lost these customers.. With drinks and dessert our bill was close to $200, and we always spend at least that mic at Cana!“

“This bakery is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! Gigantic pastries that are flaky and delicious. Everything we tried was AMAZING. They are very generously sized too. The cinnamon pastry (not sure what they called it) was legitimately the size of a small dinner plate—we snacked on it for two days. These people KNOW pastry. The apple turnover was the best I have ever had and my husband raved about the Boston Cream Donut. If you are in the area give them a try…you will be so happy that you did!!!“

Compared to the first catering service we considered, El Rincón immediately stood out. Pancakes plus and an OcFLOberfest (corn beef hash, sauerkraut & thousand island dressing) omelette arrived quickly. Both were HUGE and GREAT! Ilana and Amanda were fast friendly and slightly sassy servers. The hot sauce was a fun condiment. Everything was clean. Miss Flo has a warm local friendly vibe.
