The Stables is a solid breakfast joint in Hadley. It may look like a hole in the wall place, but it is outstanding. The food is great, with a solid example of “eggs, bread, potatoes, and meats” breakfasts that comfort and fill the belly. Specific meals mentioned include the biscuits and gravy, the club breakfast, the large breakfast, and an omelette. The coffee is great, and the service is incredible. The wait staff is kind, accommodating of food allergies, and the food is out within 3 minutes. There is no hesitation for a little customization, like eggs benny on cornbread. The price of the meal increases with the use of debit/credit as cash is preferred, but it is reasonably priced. It is that kind of place where you can sit down and talk to the person next to you like you’re long lost friends. Better than any of the breakfast places in the entire state of Massachusetts. Highly recommend this Mom and Pop restaurant.
