“I’ve dined at Johnny’s Roadside Diner a handful of times over the last few years, and I’ve always had a good experience. It has been a year since I’ve been here and I came back today for brunch and I’m pleased to say that my experience was not good, it was outstanding. The food was tremendous, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was clean and under control, and it was really great to observe the productive flow of the team members & management, and the satisfaction of every other customer in the establishment during my time in Johnny’s. For a popular local establishment that serves a diverse variety of communities and college students, I couldn’t have been more impressed. I would recommend Johnny’s Roadside Diner to anyone who is looking for high quality customer service, excellent food, and a great experience with friends and family. I will be looking forward to returning soon!!!“

“We were coming from thr airport and needed to catch a quick bite. I found out about this place a few years ago, but we never had a chance to go. I ended up getting the Santa Fe salad and a cup of chili because it was a chili kind of day. It had good flavor, but it had green peppers in it. Not a fan. The salad was good sized, so I ended up leaving with a box. My husband had the nachos. I tasted a little of the port, which wasn't bad. The portion was huge and he was loving the Carolina sauce, but there's a self-serve station so you can try them all. And they had to-go boxes handy, so you didn't have to ask the staff. Although they were quite friendly. Nice display of desserts next to the counter, but we did not partake this time. Lots of parking and some booth seating with a rustic interior.“

“My daughter and I had to get dinner and not many places were open on a Monday at 8:30. My daughter found Johnnys and we called to verify we could order and eat there as kitchen closes at 9:00. This was our first time there and it will not be the last time. The waiter was very informative when it came to the food. Told us a lot of the favorites and description of it. We had a hard time deciding and he (Gabriel) brought us a sample of a sauce to taste. Glad he did, it was too spicy for us…. We’re whimps. We ended up ordering the potstickers, sticky ribs and the beef tips with broccoli and garlic noodles. All were outstanding! Yes we brought home left overs (mine were gone when I got home not reheated. OMG!). If you choose not to try them (more for us) but big mistake. It’s our new favorite restaurant and we live at least 30 minutes away.“

“Marco Carreira and his team recently catered a lunch buffet for an event that I hosted at my home. They came through for me on a very busy weekend on short notice. The food was still steaming hot when we picked it up, the amount of food included was more than generous, and everyone commented on how delicious everything was. Highly recommend!“

“My dad and I ate here last night before a show at Academy Music. Akasia was our server and we loved her. Our food was the best meal we have ever had together in all of our foodie ventures and we wish it was closer so we could go back. The steak tips were cut in house and resembled filet. The scallops were so good we got a second order. The salad was delicate but really great. My dad got the salmon and he is very picky on salmon, but it was incredible and he was delighted we made the choice to go there. I wish the oysters on the half shell were bigger, but the rest made up for it. My dad is in a wheelchair and everyone was super accommodating. Akasia was on point and knew we had a time crunch and accommodated that and also took some nice photos of us together. Great mock-tails and atmosphere was a 10. Hopefully one day soon we can make it back.“

“We had our son's Rehearsal Dinner in the Amherst room on Oct. 23rd. Nothing short of amazing! Appetizers were plentiful and delicious, as was the steak, chicken and shrimp & crab scampi. Our server Karen was one in a million, she was two steps ahead the whole evening and a big part of the success shared by the wedding party. “If you have never dined here before, you are in for a surprising treat. The Culinary Arts Department at the Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School operates a student-run restaurant three days a week, Wednesday through Friday of most weeks, from 10:45 AM to 12:30 PM. The students, under the supervision of three chef instructors, learn every aspect of food preparation and service. There is menu service on Wednesdays and Thursdays and an all you can eat buffet on most Fridays, which is currently priced at only $15.00. The menu changes weekly and is posted online. This is genuinely one of the hidden gems of the Pioneer Valley.“

“The owner and the manager and waitresses were very rude very unprofessional.My daughter in-law went there 2 years ago said the service and food was great My son and daughter in-law and I went there on Saturday 11-8-2025 It was about 15 or 20 minutes to order then when we did order we waited over 1hour 15 minutes to eat the food was luke, warm. My daughter in-law bit into a clam strip and thought she broke her tooth she was afraid to eat anymore we had seafood the way it came out the food was saturated from the frying oil like it hadn't been changed in weeks I had coleslaw that had a fish taste to it like it was stored with open fish in the fridge we asked to speak to the manager when she finely came over she wanted the food my daughter in-law spit out in the napkin so obviously. the manager didn't believe her I ask to have her meal comped the manager left never came back I asked to speak to the owner eventually The owner came over was disrespectful rude and very unprofessional, for an owner of a restaurant. first of all, the kitchen was backed up.He should have been in the kitchen helping the cooks second of all he shouldn't have told me to get out of his restaurant the way he did.....“

“My husband and I try to visit the Delaney House at least once a year. We went last night to celebrate our 6 year anniversary. Our server, Cali M, was great. She was experienced enough as a server to know to ask us if we were celebrating anything, and made it that much more special by bringing us complimentary glasses of delicious champagne. She had the perfect balance between checking in on us while not being over-bearing or making us feel rushed. The food, as always, was a 10/10 and we even tried new cocktails which were delicious. One of our favorite spots!“

“We're from Wisconsin and had breakfast March 31 in your restaurant. I wish I could remember our waitress' name, but she was delightful. I had the (canned)corned beef hash omelet and loved it. I've never seen an omelet shaped the way you serve it, but again it was terrific on looks alone! You folks do a marvelous job.“

“My husband and I are from upstate New York and came here with a relative from the Massachusetts area for our first time. We were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm, which was just the beginning of a more than exceptional experience. The menu concerned us with its limited options, but alas, the quality of the food offered was by no means disappointing. The char and the fried chicken were outstanding. The service was the best we’ve ever received in our lives (and we go out frequently) , and then there was their chocolate crème brûlée. AMAZING. We highly recommend this lovely restaurant.“

You get to grab your own silverware, butter, jelly napkins, coffee yourself from carafe. Waitress just brings plate to your table and then you bus your own dishes afterward. It works, they probably don’t have the extra staff to wait tables properly. If you figure in the tip from a normal diner that comes out about the same.“
