“we did the arcade and axe throwing. will have to come back for bowling and food!tl;dr each has minor issues but overall worth going! <3the arcade was fun, all of the standard games are present which is important to see, but also some pretty cool other games. low-point prizes really suck though, kind of just "ok" even to kids. i know the card setup means you're supposed to save up points between multiple visits, but at least have some more cool stuff for the little ones who aren't thinking long term like that, so they can feel like they're actually getting an interesting reward.axe throwing was INSANELY fun - great to have one in our area finally! staff was thorough with instructions and safety which was appreciated. however the boards were badly chewed up and the axes very dull, to the point that many of our throws that should've stayed in the wall, didn't, and just bounced off. a little maintenance will go a long way here.will absolutely update this when we can do the food especially as well!! you gotta actively try to mess up bowling lol“
“Great food but should be called the Tuesday through Saturday operation. I wanted a hamburger on Monday and felt misled by the “daily” bit because it’s not a daily operation, it’s a 5 day operation and not a normal work week even. Helpus autistic people out. Also, could do better with seating and guidance because it’s a chore finding a place to sit with your party. Needs a host/est/zer to manage tables and seating.“
“Very busy on a Friday early evening, parking challenging as their lot was full at 5:30, and side streets are mostly one way, but that's Holyoke. Service was exemplary - everything came out quickly. My companion had striped bass, a special, and said it was wonderful . I had the short rib which was outstanding despite a bit of fat, which is to be expected. Fried oysters great, flourless chocolate torte very good. Good selection of wine by the glass, and unusually generous pour. Atmosphere lively, pretty loud in the bar area, but nonetheless fun.So nice to have a place like this in downtown. Will return for sure.“
“Our favorite restaurant in the region. The fried chicken is classic. The lamb shoulder was perfect. Their quality is consistent. We so glad the owner-employees have sustained the quality so well. We took a chef in our family there - he raved over it. We'll be back!“
“My new favorite restaurant! Went to Waxwing for the first time tonight. We shared the oysters, green salad, pasta Bolognese and Fluke special, chocolate torte, butterscotch pot de creme Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. Great craft cocktail options and wine. The atmosphere was very intimate, the music was great, the service was exceptional. Did I say the service was exceptional? We felt very attended to from the minute we walked through the door. Very welcoming.“
“Had a great experience here. Pizza was delicious (sausage ala vodka); their take on ramen is unique, it's not quite ramen but it is good for what it is, almost a sort of a goulash; the egg rolls were delicious and we were happy with the beer and the ginger-honey lemonade. Would definitely return! Great service and relaxed atmosphere, too.“
“This is a quirky place. Very limited menu. There are only 6 dinner choices plus an additional couple specials. It wasn't easy to find something for everyone but the food we chose was excellent. We had fried chicken and biscuit and the dumplings for apps. Both were very good. I ended up with the braised short ribs with a fried potato cake. It was really delicious. The potato was outstanding!! My husband had crab cakes and roasted potatoes, which he enjoyed. The wait staff were great. Super friendly and they were all dressed cute with space buns in their hair. They definitely enhanced the experience. I wouldn't rush back just because there aren't enough choices but the food is quality and what we had we really enjoyed.“
“Sitting in Progression right now, listening to some tasty light jazz (no cover, btw:). As always, the taproom manager, Chris, is omnipresent, making sure everyone is happy as possible. The staff is always so friendly and it creates such a great atmosphere (shout-out to Brittney).I am a beer snob, and let me tell you, all the styles are at the high end. Mostly wonderfully hoppy IPA's, but also a lovely Kolsch, and terrific stout are available today. There are even 3 different hard seltzers for the non beer lovers out there.Food is pub style, of course. The menu is a bit limited, but top notch.Highly recommended for a fun night out that doesn't break the bank“
“Never been before to Johnny's bar and grill went for the first time for my brother's birthday, great place to spend an evening dinner with family or friends. They have a really good menu for everyone. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff.“
“DELICIOUS! Let's start with the amazing tomato concoction that comes with the bread. I could eat that every day! The fish was delicious but OMG the scallops! Cooked perfectly! Our server was Fatma and just incredible. Her smile was very inviting and friendly. She interacted with my daughter who was here for a college tour so nicely. She was professional but also made us feel like we were interacting with a longtime friend. Thank you!“
“First time here and VERY impressed. It's very clean and the staff were excellent. Our server, Kailey (sp?) was a gem. Cheerful and professional and attentive. She recommended a Reuben Dip appetizer and it was delicious. Great atmosphere, food and staff. We'll definitely be back - and HIGHLY recommend Amy's place!“
“Hadn't been here since it changed owners. We were really happy with it. Service is absolutely top notch. Food was great. The menu is totally fresh and new. And they haven't messed with the charm of the original decor. We'll be going back soon!“
“A true farm to table dining experience in the Pioneer Valley! My wife and I have been going the Blue Heron for years and always have a great time. The service and food is consistently excellent with ingredients from local farmers. Blue Heron offers an upscale dining experience and is very close to Mount Sugarloaf, Tree House Brewing Company, Yankee Candle and more! I highly recommend the Ricotta & Honey small plate and Curried Vegetable Tian although there isn't anything on their menu I wouldn't try. The Chocolate Truffle Torte with espresso ice cream is a great way to finish a perfect meal!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options never tasted so good. I am not sure if it is available all the time but the Curried Vegetable Tian is fantastic!Dietary restrictions: While they offer a wide range of choices, many are gluten-free and vegetarian or vegan-friendly.“
“Stopped for an early lunch. Some of us enjoyed breakfast and some of us enjoyed lunch. Our food was delicious and very hot. Our service was friendly and fast. The coffee was warm and delicious. The kids loved the farms ambiance. They have a mural that quotes bad reviews and the kids got a kick out of it.“
